Our family of 5 spend 3 nights in LSGH and had an outstanding experience! The location is very central, rooms are good and clean and they have a great breakfast! Most importantly Bruno and his team are very welcoming and really trying to help you discover and enjoy Lisbon. They made many recommendations not only on which sights to visit...

On plus side: Very good price. Nice B&B. Good common areas; kitchen and lounge-room (free tea/coffee and oil/salt to cook with). Decent location within Lisbon. On negative side: Small bedrooms (they're the inexpensive ones though). No air-conditioning. Street-noise. Overall: This is good value for money. Tip: If in summer, request a standing-fan from staff. With the window open at night,...

We had a great stay here. Easy to find and a very welcoming atmosphere when we arrived. The staff were lovely and friendly, and we thought the breakfast room / lounge was a wonderful idea - such a comfortable and relaxing spot to hang out. And the breakfast was delicious too. The location of the guesthouse is nice and central,...

The Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay for visiting Lisbon. It allowed us to be very flexible (there was always someone at the reception). People were really friendly. The room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable (even if we chose a really small room). We really enjoyed breakfast. The small terrace was really nice too.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my boyfriend. 4 nights were in the room called Sete Colinas which was a small room but very comfortable and a huge bed. We liked this guesthouse so much we came back from our last night in the room Luz. We absolutely loved this place. The location is perfect and very close to many...

Good place to stay for a few nights. Right in the old city centre. Next street is the Rossio Train station from where U can reach Sintra and Bus stop to the AeroBus which goes right to the airport. Nice breakfast and friendly stuff. Have a nice trip to Lisboa!!

We stayed 2 nites at this guesthouse which is a stone's throw from the metro stations, Rossio and Restaurados as well as the train station at Rossio Square. Bus 28 to Alfama is also easily accessible. Great location from which to explore Lisbon, Sintra and Belem. We arrived just past 9am after taking the overnite train from Madrid. This is...

The Guesthouse has an absolutely perfect location in the heart of Lisbon. It's easy to get everywhere, including to/from the airport. The staff were incredibly helpful and very nice. The breakfast is delicious (especially the rolls), fairly comprehensive, and in a homey spot. The room we stayed in (Fado) was large and comfortable. There is no elevator so be prepared...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my girlfriend and it really helped to make our stay in Lisbon one to remember. Good value for a place right in the centre of Lisbon - rooms not luxurious but perfectly adequate, and a great buffet breakfast which will set you up for a day out in Bairro Alto or Alfama which...

This is a simple guesthouse: there's no airco or television, but there is a wonderful atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. We only stayed one night in the Azulejos room which was quite large, clean and had it's own badroom with toilet and shower. The breakfast in the morning was basic but more than OK for us...

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
