This is an excellent hotel. The kids club was very good. Rooms were great and best part was the excellent service. One of best hotels. Good food. Definitely more than 5 stars. The front desk was very helpful.
I've written more extensive feedback in the survey, please refer to that and pass it onto you marketing team. You can find more out about our son and us on instagram @iggs.stagram ---------------------- We've stayed 3 times this year alone at your Chiado hotel. We have a son with special needs and the services and carers at the kid's club have been nothing short of incredible. They welcomed and accepted him from day 1. They made him feel safe - made US feel safe to leave him there for extended periods of time and were absolutely committed to having FUN. He couldn't wait to go back each day and they remembered us from previous visits, which made it all the more special. We travel a lot and normally have to bring our nanny or family to help. We've NEVER come across a hotel so committed to families and understand the realities of what it's like going on holiday with small children, especially when you have one living with disabilities. Thank you and hope to see you again next year! Sarah, Jordan and Iggy :)…
Exploring Portugal. very nice hotel particular for families but also individual travelers. Great location. The staff was very helpful and supportive. Kitchen and laundry facilities in the room available.
This hotel was recommended to me by my sister in law. I stayed here with a friend, no kids. The location is great, safe area, rooms are really big, and clean, but what made the stay so wonderful was the staff!! I never stayed at a hotel where it felt like the staff truly cared about you. My friend gets car sick and they were always asking how she was doing and trying to come up with alternate modes of transportation to help her out. I am pregnant and they were always asking how I was feeling. I will be coming back with the baby in the future and will be staying at this chain of hotels in Portugal going forward. Thank you for a wonderful stay and shoutout to Renu, Paulo, David and Rohaan! You guys rock!!!
Appartments are very clean. The kitchen is well equiped. The floors are very noisy though. Windows are thin and during the weekend it is a popular street for going out, so there's all kind of noise. The kids club sleeping area did not have airco, that was kind of a problem for our toddler to be able to sleep. The hotel (reception area) has some (small) stairs in it which makes it difficult to manouver with a stroller.
One of the best hotels we have stayed at! Great service and hospitality. Truly prime location in Chiado and walking distance to Bairro Alto and to restaurants, shopping, and landmarks. We had a spacious dual apartment suite with plenty of space for the family. Perfectly ideal for families with young children. We had breakfast included with our reservation, which was delicious, and elected to have it delivered up to our room every morning, which was very convenient! We also enjoyed the excellent service and drinks at Bar 1855 downstairs with its relaxing ambience.
This is a great option for a stay with children. The location is fantastic and the hotel was clean, the service great and the kids club and babysitting service enabled us to have some adult only time in the evenings. The price you pay you would expect more luxury compared to other places for similar price in Lisbon- however it’s a trade off for having a kids club and babysitters on offer. Just don’t expect 5 star luxury like most family friendly hotels it is often the sacrifice!
We booked the apartment for 4 people including my young daughter and my elderly father and it was absolutely perfect. the location is incredible, the kids club is very good, and the apartment is new and with all the necessary utensils. There was some confusion on our part with bookings and David was incredibly kind and competent in helping us sort it all out. It was by far the best hotel service experience I have ever had. We hope to return soon.
Summary: we strongly recommend this hotel for a family city break in Lisbon. What we liked: - perfect location right in the center of Lisbon - huge and beautiful rooms: we booked a 2-bedroom apartment for our family of 5, including kitchen and washing machine. - superb kids club which Items until 10 in the evening, so parents can go for dinner if they like to - excellent breakfast which we had delivered to our room every morning Just a watch-out, although it did not bother us: there is no gym or pool at the hotel.
Central location, large comfortable apartments, friendly and caring staff, awesome kids club facilities and team, excellent in-room breakfast… what a perfect city break for the entire family. Great job and thank you once again to the entire Martinhal Chiado team!
