We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. James and Aasta are wonderful hosts and always went the extra mile to make us feel at home, without being intrusive. Our bedroom (lavender) was perfect - spacious, spotless, with a great panoramic view and very important for us, quiet. The breakfast is just amazing. We spent the days walking in the forest or to the beaches, and James always provided very helpful advice. We highly recommend Colina Flora!

Sorry to be late in posting this but we actually stayed here in June of 2019 (not a click option on this form). Recently, we were reminded of our stay and decided to post this review. This place is in a lovely setting with beautiful views. The gardens and landscaping are simply beautiful. The breakfasts offered a delicious and plentiful variety including choices for those who need gluten-free or vegan options. We were staying there for a nearby wedding but had an extra day for hiking in the area and that was an incredible experience. The hosts were very helpful, while not hovering, offering us hiking maps and many tips about the area. They drove us down to the wedding location since we were dressed up and wanted to get there, quickly. For those three nights, we were the only Americans. We met friendly hikers from Great Britain and New Zealand at breakfast. We both highly recommend this delightful place. Its owners could simply not do a better job. They have created a treasure!

We stayed here for 4 nights and were happy to be upgraded to Rose Cottage which is very spacious and nicely decorated. It has a small patio which has a view towards the ocean in the distance. Filtered water, tea bags and cookies are provided. Next to the pool is a building with a well equipped guest kitchen. We used it one night to cook dinner. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of vegetarian foods. A lot of the food was home made like vegetable spreads, granola muesli, freshly baked rolls and muffins and a different type of fruit salad every day. Breakfast is my favourite meal and this was like heaven for me as a vegetarian. The owners provided a lot of useful information on different walks that can be taken in the area and on visiting Sintra. Every morning after breakfast we got a detailed briefing regarding the plans we had for the day and how to optimize them. The owners also recommended restaurants in the area and booked tables. We felt very welcomed at this small B&B and would like to come and visit again once the Covid 19 pandemic is over.

Wonderful place with great hosts that give guests a lot of personal attention. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. The beds are amazing. Waking up amidst the sounds of birds in the middle of the Sintra mountains close to Lisbon and beaches.

What an amazing place - if you're searching for that elusive, perfect get-away break, then look no further - Colina Flora has it all. Spotlessly clean and charming guestrooms, delicious and healthy breakfasts, good location for walking and sightseeing as well as great restaurants in the neighbourhood - sadly it was the wrong time of the year to test the pool but it did look inviting. And then there's James and Aasta - superb hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have the best possible experience during their stay. Nothing is too much trouble. What more can we say - book now, you won't regret it! Linda and Dave Swansea, UK
