So I had a first floor room, and whilst that can be bad in some places, it was fab here. It meant I had a larger than normal balcony. I could see the sea from my balcony. The room was MASSIVE. Essentially a suite with desk, sofa for lounging, two tv's; one for the bed area and a 40" for...

We stayed for three nights in March. The rooms are beautiful very big and bright with a terrace and good bed. We were promised an upgrade to sea view but you had to stick you head out to see the sea. We asked the staff if this was the upgraded room and they said we would have to pay extra!!...

I stayed here for 7 days for work meetings. Rooms are huge and offer great views. The staff was very accommodating. I would highly recommend Uber over taxis. From Lisbon airport to the hotel Uber was around 36 Euros, a taxi was between 60-90 Euros. An Uber into Cascais was normally around 5, 5.5 Euros. Breakfast was pretty good, but...

I am a regular visitor of Cascais and surroundings and my interest are pricipally culture, golf and good food. Particularly for golfers, this is the best place to be. The hotel is situated just next to the golf course and all services are geared to satisfy golfers. The hotel is very modern in stile with fantastic views (chose rooms on...

Large rooms, very good breakfast, very friendly personnel. Excellent location near a splendid golf, next to the coast for walking or running and bicycle distance from Cascais and surf beach. Sinthra and Lissabon are near by.

Time flies, but bad things sure stick. It's the monumental things that stay with you, good or bad. It's actually been about 13 months since my one night stay at this Cascais hotel, but I've thought of that night many a time since then. About time for a review I'd say. I'll make it short, actually. I was here on...

Everything is this hotel is uncluttered and exquisitely thought through. From the sculpture that is framed by the view of the sea to the lawns around the property. The breakfasts are like an adventure and the views add to the sense of simple abundance.

The hotel is a glass modern structure that makes you look out instead of in. On the main floor there are very few walls to allow a view to the dunes and nature outside as much as possible. The food is very good, the breakfast buffet is over the top and there is no reason to leave the resort unless...

This is a very trendy, zen environment. The building is a Y shape, with all rooms having views of the ocean and dunes. The look is very modern and the rooms have clean lines. The staff is amazing. The food at either restaurants is exceptional. Stayed 4 nights and could have stayed longer. An outstanding experience.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Atlantic coast, The Oitavos seeks to embrace rather than compete with nature. Its bold design, sleek lines and elegantly simple interiors focus attention outwards – on the historical and natural elements of the grounds and the drama and romance of the Atlantic Ocean. A stunning blue colour palate will cool your senses, blending with the colours of the sea and the violets of the flowers dotted across the landscape. Contemporary sculpture and paintings by Portuguese artists will enrapture against the white canvas. ... more   less
