We arrived in Batalha by car, and the hotel has a nice garage. The rooms are quiet and clean and comfortable. The 14th century monastery commemorating the Portuguese victory at the battle of Aljubarrota in 1385 is a few hundred yards from the hotel, with some great restaurants nearby.

Hotel is clean, staff is very very helpful, they helped us with the sightseeing placess as well:adviced where and how to get spending minimum amount of money. The location is good too. There is a big supermarket where you can buy variety of food. If your budget is limited, it is an excellent place to stay in!

This hotel is an exellent place to stay if visiting the Monastary. We had booked an "adjoining" room for ourselves and two young adult children. It was perfect. The price was reasonable and the staff friendly and helpful. We would return without a doubt.

The Hotel was dated with dark varnished furniture but very clean. Staff were very attentive and went over and above to help you.. Would liked to of been warned that the local church was approx 10 meters away from the hotel and the local bell ringers rang on the quarter hour, not too bad though as we were out most of... More

This is a lovely, simple hotel. The rooms are not fancy, but comfortable and great value. The staff were wonderful - expertly managing four Australians with limited Portuguese (and our apparently odd accents). The bar area was comfortable and a great place to sit and plan our trip. It is a 2 minute (or less) walk to the magnificent monastery.... More

This is an excellent hotel to vist the Monastry - they have parking athough you have to bring your luggage up, it has no direct access to the Hotel. It does not have a restaurant but plenty local. Breakfast was in the rafters and included in the price. Excellent for a stop and view hotel but not for a long... More

This is a hidden gem we stumbled on while visiting the monastery. The staff could not have been nicer insisting on carrying our bags up to the second floor and giving helpful suggestions for dinner. breakfast is included and is the average cold spread. The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. With the tourist coming to see the monastery,... More
