This guest house is a 300 year old property in the tiny but incredibly beautiful area of Faja Grande. It has some original features, giving it a quirky ethnic vibe. We loved our old style room with ancient furniture, creaky bed and an old range and could forgive the leaky shower and the odd dead bug. The breakfast was good...

Dear "cheekychubbychops" I also do not know who you are, I try to be a person not a nickname on the web. For sure you did not leave any review at the guesthouse and again, talking is the best way to understand and share joy and problems if present. You were a drop in the ocean of guests I hosted...

We really enjoyed our stay in the little town of Faja Grande, which is surrounded by unbelievably beautiful natural scenery! The new (second) Italian owner was very friendly, the breakfast was more than adequate and by far the best we had on our trip between the islands.

An interesting place to stay. Stefano the new(ish) owner is a well travelled person with a to say the least, diverse collection of mementos. Despite arriving earlier than expected, we were made very welcome with Stefano keen to indicate to us where we could find things in the village. He clearly loved the area. The room was very large and...

We found it too basic and cluttered. The en-suite facilities were very cramped and the shower was poor and easily flooded the room. Breakfast was typical cold buffet and although one had a choice of various teas, the two cakes where still the same, although smaller after 5 days. The bread after the first day was never very fresh and...

Our first impression on arrival was a little rustic for us, great for walkers and backpackers, the biggest let down was the shower, the tray had several rust spots, was very small and had to prop the shower head in position with a hair brush. Stefano the owner was a great character well traveled and a well known Italian from...

Our third visit to The Argonauta was, as the previous ones had been, a delight. This delightfully quirky B and B is unusual and lovely because of this attribute. The new owner Stefano is working hard to infuse his personality into this unique residence. You do need to be fit and able to climb steep stairs to stay here. We...

The place has a new owner so previous reviews are not fully relevant. The new owner is very nice but not as knowledgable as the previous one. As oppose to what was written in previous reviews, there is no starter pack. Breakfast is quite basic and cold, sometimes with fruits as well. Good wifi, good facilities and excellent location. More...
