This was a nice location and easy to find. Our room was pleasant, though it didn't have a view. It was disappointing compared to some of the other properties we saw, but the price was better here. We were able to walk most places. The included breakfast was pretty good.

The gardens were nice, location is very close to the center and attractions, and still quiet with no noise of traffic. The room we got was on the second floor in one of the annex buildings, the stairs were narrow, and there was no elevator, got to ask for a bell boy to bring the luggage up and down. Advise:... More

I am writing this in my hotel room whilst I am waiting to go back to the airport at the end of my holiday. It is not a bad hotel and is in a good location. The room is of a good size and is quite comfortable. However, it is not quite up to the standard I would expect from... More

Stayed for three nights. Excellent location a short climb up the steps from the marina with a beautiful view of Mount Pico. Beautiful grounds and pool. My room was facing the marina and was very quiet. The hotel itself is quite dated, in both appearance and function. Room with very dated decor, old carpet and draperies. Door insect screens were... We ended up here for a night because of a missed ferry to Pico (thanks to SATA delays...). Rooms are quite dated and in some need of repair but clean and adequate. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast is varied with nice views from the breakfast room. Better value than Hotel do Canal (where we stayed later) - do... More

There are numerous issues with this hotel 1. Not suitable for people with heavy luggage / walking issues many of the rooms are accessed by stairs. 2. Rooms are tiny but bathrooms huge - no place to put suitcases 3. Room smelt damp and fusty when we arrived - quite tatty and a bit grubby 4. Free internet is very... More

Although the Faial Resort Hotel is bit outdated, the rooms are spacious and clean. Only Wi-Fi connection was below standards (we had a room in the villas so no idea about the quality in the main building). Conventional hotel breakfast with a nice variety of local cheese. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel is located in the... More

This hotel is a block from the harbor, yet it occupies a quiet estate-like location with a large lawn in the center. It is a rather large hotel and attracts a fair amount of business people and bus tours. The rooms are modern and comfortable, The walls however are paper-thin, so if you have a noisy neighbor you may have... More

My mom and I enjoyed a very nice stay at the Faial Resort Hotel. The hotel is a short staircase walk to the main street in Horta, so super easy to walk around town and enjoy the marina, shops and restaurants. We stayed in one of the villa rooms which was lovely. Very clean, bright room. No, the wifi didn't... More
