We have just(Sept 2016) returned from a trip to Portugal which included a six(6) night stay at Casa das Oliveiras in Silves in the Algarve. We were very pleased with our choice and would highly recommend it to our family and friends. The owners, Bill and Isa are charming, helpful with tips regarding local sites and restaurants and attentive to...

We recommend this place to stay for anyone wishing to explore the Algarve from a quiet location. It is located in the centre of orange groves and fruit growing land with good access to the lovely old capital of the Algarve, Silves (about 10 mins drive) and the spectacular coastline for walks and beaches due south (about 15 mins drive)....

After almost four weeks of driving around Spain, we were looking for a change of pace and a few days in one place to rest and recover. We certainly found it in the Casa das Oliveiras. Situated close to the charming medieval town of Silves, proud possessor of some excellent restaurants and a castle with a fascinating history of Crusader...

We stayed here for about a aweek in mid May and it was wonderful. It's well secluded so there is no tourist traffic interruption, and in a beautiful area surrounded by madronho trees and farm land. The house itself was extremely well kept, quiet, and cleaned daily, the common areas and patio were gorgeous. We actually spent half a day...

The kindness and hospitality shown by the owners, Bill and Isabelle, is the best we have ever experienced. Their comfortable and spacious home offered plenty of facilities for guests to relax; the room was spacious and kept spotless for our short stay of 6 days. The large double bed was most comfortable and had a lovely view onto the terrace...

Bill, the ever-present/helpful owner, couldn't have made more effort to make us welcome/advise us on our one night stay, from finding our evening meal in nearby Silves to other info/directions to/from this out of the way spot, and his wife provided a first class breakfast. The pool/terrace area is lovely. Although immaculately clean, the decor is quite dated, as are...

We would like to thank Ann for taking the time to give her feedback on our guesthouse. We appreciate her positive comments on our service, our breakfast and some of our facilities. However, although we welcome guests keeping us on our toes, we feel we need to respond to some of the negative points; it is a pity that Ann...

We have just stayed at Casa das Oliveiras with our daughter and granddaughter aged 4. We were beautifully looked after, Bill and Isabelle were both very kind and helpful. The house was spotlessly clean, large airy bedrooms, constant hot water (solar heated) Good coffee and fresh orange juice for breakfast and amazing value for . We would thoroughly recommend it.

We spent three nights here and could hardly believe the value for money. Ok, so the exchange rate was in our favour, but €65 per room per night was an absolute bargain (but don't feel you have to put your prices up, Bill!). The hosts were charming and helpful, the room (4) was spacious and clean. Breakfast is simple but...

This is a lovely rural retreat which is peaceful and comfortable. The pool was so wonderful to cool off in and the breakfasts are delicious. Wifi is excellent. Thank you...
