This was a wonderful find. It is located very close to the Old City as well as the bus and train station. The staff is very helpful, accommodating and quick to point out places of interest. Many activities within the Hostal including a barbecue, happy hour and a myriad of activities. If you want to have fun, or just relax,...

Casa d'Alagoa is homey, lively and exiting. The kitchen and multiple chill out areas are great, the many terraces and the rooftop are too. Whilst we stayed there we even had free dinners of high quality cooked for us (that comes with free sangria). The staff is very friendly and helpful in advising itineraries. The only thing that was kind...

Beautiful building in centre of Faro, quirky Hostel, great night. I have read a few negative reviews of this hostel on Trip Adviser, but can only say that I experienced nothing but good vibes during our visit. Staff were great, room clean, what more can you want. A great cheap travel stop.

I guess this is an average party hostel with drinks in the evening and prolonged sleeping in the morning. There are some disadvantages though - limited number of toilets (with a very strange policy of not flushing the toilet paper down the drain, but placing it in a bin near the toilet), absolutely overpriced dinner (10 euros dinner will get...

I stayed here for 4 nights and paid just over 30 euros a night when I booked in advance. The guy who checked me in (short ish guy with a long black beard) seemed disinterested and like he didn't want to be at work. The rest of the staff were all really friendly. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm...

This hostel is in a really beautiful building! They have multiple areas for socialising, hanging out, eating and being on your computer, outdoors and inside. There's a big board of activities in the Faro area, including the timetables to get to the beaches, islands and national park nearby. The staff in the hostel are super friendly, happy to answer questions....

Living in London I decided to pop over to Portugal for two weeks, this hostel was by far the best stay of my entire trip! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hostel was always clean and tidy and has good within room security for your possessions. Plus you can get a three course home cooked dinner and glass...

Staying at Alagoa definitely made my trip to Faro a great succes. The place looks wonderful with a beautiful entrance hall and two lovely patio’s, where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning and beer in the evening, which makes it easy to meet people. The staff was super friendly and the overal atmosphere was just perfect. I had...
