My mom and I were fortunate enough to visit Faro for an almost two week period. Despite our intentions to stay at different air bnb’s we found ourselves returning to this hotel after a brief sojourn elsewhere. Reasons being: -Great price -Free breakfast that includes cold cuts, yogurt and cheese rather than just your standard fare -Excellent location if your goal is to explore the old town (5 minute walk at a leisurely pace) -Very clean -Absolutely lovely, helpful and knowledgeable staff -Showers were nice and warm with good water pressure -A moment’s walk to restaurants, corner stores, the port, souvenir shopping, etc. -Ten minute drive to the beach, mall or airport I’m sure there is a standard system that is used to calculate star ratings and I don’t know the details of it, but I was surprised that this is only a two-star hotel. It is no frills but there is nothing that we were remotely disappointed with. Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful stay! We felt very welcome and well looked after.…
Superb location. Clean spacious room. Excellent large bathroom. Heater in wall in bathroom was very welcome as weather was freezing. Adequate but very basic breakfast. Balcony has chairs and table on it. Excellent bed. There was a horrible noise from the water pipes at frequent intervals. You can also hear other guests' pipes rumbling, very noisy during the night. Staff were helpful and mostly pleasant. All that for 65 euros a night. Area round the hotel is run down.
Great hotel! Very clean in a good location. We had a group of 4 friends, and got a quadruple room. It was a little on the smaller end, but worked fine - with 4 single beds and a large bathroom. Only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is that the breakfast was mediocre (at best), the man checking us in was very grumpy and rude, and the parking garage was TINY and difficult to get into (we almost scratched the side of our car getting into it!!)
We have been coming to this hotel since the 90's and have seen many transformations. This use to be a cheap hotel but since the latest modernisations the price has risen. Having said all that it is still a comfortable hotel providing a good and varied breakfast menu which you can eat inside or out. Its convenient location means you are not far away from the main strip or train station.
Me and my wife stayed 1 night at this hotel in July. It is a small hotel but nice and clean inside. I had to wait a while to check in. From what I understand, their computer at the reception desk was slow and there was 2 or 3 people in front of me trying to check in. Anyway..... The room we stayed had a double bed which was comfortable enough. Everything in it was of the colour white. It was also a very clean room. There was a small balcony which had a complicated system of closing the doors (that was a bit annoying). Overall it was good. I do recommend it.
