. Stayed here for a weekend in August. Extremely quirky place. Landlord reminded me of Rigsby, a skinflint character from a 70s TV comedy. He pointed to his heart and said bad when telling me he couldn’t help me with my bag. However he recovered quickly when a woman needed help. The Furniture was as old as the Portuguese empire....

Everyone says this guest-house has a bit of quirk to it, and it's true. But we liked it! It is clean and functional and central and inexpensive. And we loved Faro... more than we expected, honestly. Good value, if you are easy.

Beautiful sprawling pensao crammed with oddball decorations. Very high ceilings and quite comfy beds. Hasn't had a refit in, oooh, 20-odd years, but it's clean and more or less everything works. No travel cot for baby but otherwise no complaints. Not exactly US-style "have-a-nice-day" service with a style, but baaaaaa

Our room was traditional and fairly basic but comfortable and immaculately clean. We did not see the owner or staff often and we were left to come and go as we pleased. There was plenty of hot water and our en suite had a bath and shower. Our room was very quiet and we were never disturbed. The central location...

This hostel is very cheap. Maybe one of the cheapest in Faro. So you should be aware that the rooms are small and there might be a lack of service. If you accept that, this stay is quite okay. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't speak a proper English. The most important fact is that the hostel is very clean!...

The worst accommodation ever (So far 350-400 different places) Grumpy and dictatorial host, No hot water, very small room (until I demanded another one) No internet (had to "steel" it from the neighbour), extremely noisy outside at night.. several times I had to shout... etc etc... I would absolutely not reccomend it to anyone. FARO is fantastic - everything.. EXCEPT...

The location is great. That's about all this place has going for it. I booked this specifically because they claim to use Amex. The owner is rude, obnoxious and as helpful as a stop sign. The card machine was on the blink and payment through Amex was not possible. I was told to go draw money or leave! The room...

Only stayed for the one night before returning to England after a lovely stay in a villa in a local village. We booked a twin room which he refused to give us, obviously wanting to put us into the nasty 'spare' bedroom next to reception as we only had one night booked. The bathroom was revolting, the pillows were as...

It's very complicated to evaluate this hotel, because we stayed there twice and our rooms were in different buildings. I didn't like the first one, which is situated in the neighbor street of the reception. The bathroom was a bit dirty, the window in the room needed renovation, we couldn't close it. It was very noisy at night, especially at...
