The residencial has a good location and the staff is friendly. If you need anything, they can take care. The interior is old-fashioned; it feels as if you are in a typical Portugese home. The halls are narrow and well yes, the residencial has a bit of a musty smell. It is not expensive, we paid 25 euro for a...

The managements is shocking and charm is definitely not top of their priority. They are rude and refuse to be civil pretending they don't speak english. We were very cold and the "complimentary toiletries" were lots of old used soaps. They do provide kettles in the public areas but no mugs, spoons or dishes and most of the staff are...

I'm one of these people who by choice would always go to 4*hotels/accommodation. But, Residential Dandy was picked by my partner for a break at New Year and I have to say I loved this place. Right in the centre of Faro, roughly 3 minutes walk to the marina and shops (and there's so much choice you could spend a...

Good location, nice traditional look inside. However, we asked for a non smoking room, wich was probably right next to smoking rooms because we could smell cigarettes. If you're planning to relax a couple of hour in your room or hotel/hostel, I would not recommend This Hostel. If you're on a budget, then go ahead!

Stayed for 3 nights, room was clean but in general the whole place is run down and needs quite extensive modernisation, right in the old town and very close to all the bars, restaurants, cafes and shops, 5 mins from both bus and train stations and 10 mins by taxi to the airport

Booked a double room with en-suite. Upon arrival the proprietor was agitated, unfriendly and kept patting his heart. The room itself was very small and smelt damp. It was dirty with hairs on the floor and generally in a poor, tatty condition. There was no wardrobe to hang my clothes with lampshade missing and gaffa tape wrapped around kettle (which...

Spent there one night before my flight back and well it's close to the center. That's about the only good thing you can say about that place. The room was dirty, smelly and though it's fairly cheap I wouldn't say the price-performance ratio was good. Can't recommend, won't stay there again.

his guest house is in the middle of the city centre. Nice to explore the city with his nice restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and old town. It is very basic. If you choose a room with private bathroom, it will be OK for a short stay. Do not think of spending there during the day, it is really a place...

We stayed in a room for three adults. The bedding was lovely and clean. The shared bathroom was also very clean. There were basic cooking facilities available although we did not use them. The location was excellent as it was not far from the bus station.

During our big trip across Portugal in July 2016 we overslept the stop in Albufeira and we continued to Faro, thanks to our friends, that stayed in those apartments - they managed to get for us the last room (for 2ppl) just 15mins before we arrive, so in the last moment. We paid 20eur night/person. There were more rooms with...
