The Patio Suite Hotel promises to be the perfect place for those looking for a different space for a family or friends holidays. The refurbished apartments are spacious with nature-inspired décor and a differentiating concept. This difference is made immediately in the lobby area: a spacious open space flows into the food court, where you can find several food corners, restaurants and terrace. The connection with outdoor and climate of the region are the most determining factors in the Hotel, the south pool terrace was completely refurbished. The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools. The apartments, with one or two bedrooms, have been completely refurbished and now have a more modern decoration, all in light, neutral and green tones, and in keeping the connection with the region where this hotel is located. With generous areas, balconies and equipped kitchens, these apartments are ideal for family travellers.

The Patio Suite Hotel is applauded for its prime location near serene beaches and local attractions, despite some reports of feeling isolated. Guests have called out the hotel's exceptional cleanliness and modern atmosphere, along with spacious rooms that generally meet expectations. The service receives high marks for staff friendliness and helpfulness. While amenities like quality dining and efficient shuttles are popular among reviewers, opinions on value are divided, with some guests finding the additional charges outweigh the benefits. Noise can occasionally be an issue, as some travelers have noted.

Rooms
The balcony view from our room on the third floor was blocked by a huge tree. We could not see anything and the balcony was in constant shade so we could not enjoy being out there - the branches need chopping at least.
The bathroom was slightly old and dated while the rest of the room and hotel was modern. I think they were the same as there were before the hotel changed to The Patio.
Rooms were a good size though, the beds were comfortable and there were enough plug sockets and storage.

The bar
The all inclusive drinks could do with finishing later (around midnight as they stopped at 11). There was a good choice though and bar staff were friendly.
There also needs to be more evening entertainment as it was quite boring. Most nights there was nothing on at all.

Swimming pools
Swimming pools were too cold to even paddle and whilst not the hotels fault the flies made it uncomfortable to sunbathe - could do with some fly deterrent spraying around regularly or wash down the pool areas more often so they’re not attracted to the sticky spilled drinks. We found that there were always available sunbeds though (at the north pool not the other) and towels provided by the hotel.

Restaurant
The restaurant was good, always had something appropriate and you could make a meal rather than picking at things. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Location
Location was ok but not central to anywhere really. There were a few restaurants and shops nearby and travel provided to the beach by the hotel (or a 20 minute walk) . It was around £10 in an Uber to Albufeira old town and Vilamoura Marina.

Overall
Would probably not return as the location wasn’t the best, the entertainment was none existent, drinks finished at 11pm and they put us in a room without being able to see a thing from the balcony (probably in the hopes we would pay more for a pool view). ‘Attention To detail’ is their motto but it needs some work.

My daughter and I had a week at The Patio Suite Hotel and returned back to the UK on 03.06.21.

From the start of the booking, which was made direct through the hotel, I had made a few personal requests which included airport transfers from Faro Airport. Communication from staff was brilliant.

Once there, our wait through customs was longer than expected. Our driver from the transfer service, patiently waited for us and greeted us with the biggest welcoming smile. This made us really feel that our holiday had begun.

We arrived at the hotel (which is absolutely beautiful) and were greeted by the hotel management and reception staff. Again we were given the warmest welcome.

Given the key we headed up to our one bedroom apartment with pool view. AMAZING! Modern and bright decor; spacious, clean and open planned.

We had all the kitchen equipment that we needed. All the furnishings were new and of great quality. The balcony was roomy and flat screen TV in the living room was large.

The pool area and cafe patio were very comfortable. The food served at the patio cafe was really tasty and reasonably priced.

The Hotel is in a great location and has a shuttle service which takes you to two beautiful beach locations, Praia da Falésia (a 15 minute walk away) and Vilamoura.

There is a supermarket as well as a number of restaurants and gift stores a 5 minute walk away.

We hope to return with family and friends in the near future. We had a wonderful stay.

After reading scores of reviews about this hotel it was sure to impress. The hotel , although quite old and has passed through several ownerships it's currently only 2 years old as it was heavily refurbished in 2020 and certainly impresses.
The rooms are large and spacious and ultra modern , each side of the bed had two USB ports which I used to charge my smartphone which impressed me. Service here is impeccable and be expected to be pampered for everything, second day received two phone calls to my room to ensure we were happy 😊
The two pools , its a matter of taste but for us the South Pool was the choice solely because of our room 502 location which happens to be close to the dual lifts which when 0 is selected will land you a 30 second walk to the South pool bar area 😀
Some slight , very slight criticisms from me. The layout of the restaurant needs improvement as it takes some serious planning when putting a meal together ( you'll see what I mean when you eat there ) and no Piri Piri sauce in Portugal but expect HP instead. Another thing to note if booking A.I is that all meals are eaten in the main Bistro restaurant which I found bizarre as you can eat by the pool if the price is right ✅

All staff are helpful and friendly and it would be inappropriate for me to call out any individuals as all are commendable.

If walking to the beach expect a 20 minute trip and be warned that when you do get there expect to drop down a long way from the road , my partner is afraid of heights and it took great courage for her to go down the endless wooden steps , better to get the mini bus from the hotel but be mindful that a seat is not guaranteed as it is often at capacity

We were recommended this hotel by a French couple on the flight home from our last trip to Portugal in June. Newly refurbished with 'suites' (2 bed apartments) and a huge terrace meant we had plenty of space for a family of 4 (2 children/baby). The hotel is impressive from the moment we walked in, brand new and stylish by modern standards. The suites are in good condition, but not newly refurbished like the lobby and restaurants (although I'm sure they will be over time). The pools are well kept, but the star of the show was the buffet breakfast (€15 per adult, young children free). The service and staff was also excellent, friendly and attentive. The only downside to the hotel was that parking is advertised, however it is very difficult to get a space (so we had to park for 5 days on the road behind the hotel). Parking in their car park is €15 which is disappointing for a paying guest. Nonetheless, excellent stay and a good 4 star.

As I sit here on my final night of a 4 night stay, I am thinking of how perfect this stay has been. Every member of staff has been outstanding. From the moment of check in when they had food waiting for us in our room, to the glorious pools. This hotel has been perfect in every way, I almost don’t want to give this review so I can keep it to myself. We were all inclusive and the food was perfect at every occasion, the service from every staff member was exemplary in particular Zoia who was the evening meal service queen, she was interested in our day and attentive to our every need, it does feel unfair highlighting one staff member when there wasn’t a single moment where the service wasn’t 10/10. The room was enormous and exceeded our needs with a balcony overlooking the pool, separate living / kitchen area. Both pool areas had very large areas to relax and enjoy the sun, we availed of the free shuttle bus to the nearby beach. Every opportunity to make your trip more enjoyable they have taken. We visited during the pandemic, and every staff member paid huge attention to covid security as well as cleanliness ensuring a safe environment for the customer to enjoy. We will be coming back without any hesitation this place is 100% recommended.

Myself and two friends have just returned from 5 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is really lovely, very well done, feels luxury.

There are lots of spaces that you can chill out inside, several TV’s, games etc and there is an area next to the bar where there was a singer in the evening.

The bar staff were lovely, but the wait for food was a bit hit and miss. We ordered three meals and mine came after 20 minutes, but my two friends pizzas took another 20 minutes and we were the only guests there, so it wasn’t busy.

Our room was a one bed apartment, and we used the sofa bed. All the beds were very comfortable, the decor was modern and you had everything you needed, including toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, hob etc Towels were changed and beds made as regularly as you wanted.

The pool area was pleasant, but we were disappointed that not all three pools were accesible, only the smaller one. I enjoy doing lengths in the morning, but we were told the bigger rectangular pool was closed. There was no mention of only one pool being accesible when we booked.

The area itself in quiet, bearing in mind it’s not high season, but we loved this. There was a small supermarket and several small shops and restaurants a 5 minute walk away, with several ‘menu of the day’ options for €12.95 which were all great.

The beach shuttle came in handy, and the beach itself is lovely. There is a small beach cafe that offers toasties, ice creams and drinks - it’s cash only, just to mention. We walked back as we realised it was only a short distance, it took us less than 15 minutes. About 5 minutes into that walk, there are quite a few restaurants offering similar ‘menu of the day’ offers.

We requested a taxi from reception, as we had seen on the reviews that it cost around €10-12 to get into Albufiera, so between three of us it was cheaper than the bus. A mercedes van arrived and when we were dropped off, we were charged €20. We found a taxi rank for the return journey which cost us €10. The taxi driver told us that hotels sometimes have deals with a private company and they make money out of it. We were really annoyed about this as we felt it was underhand, as we had asked for a taxi, so be sure to say you don’t want a private vehicle, you want them to use a normal taxi.

Lastly, we were room only, but on the last day we paid the €15 for the buffet breakfast. It offered everything, including Champagne if that’s your thing, and was well worth it.

You cannot fault the cleanliness, decor and super sized apartments at this hotel. We where self catering and one night we decided to try the all inclusive dinner at 30 euros each. We where so glad that we didn’t pay for all inclusive for the week Luke warm food sat for a while is not good the rice had been sat so long it had stuck together. Every day we where left a bottle of water in our room ( nice we thought ) until we checked out and charged 12.50 euros. We only had one drink at the bar 12 euros same drinks down the road 3 euros. We didn’t have much to do with the staff but they didn’t look like they enjoyed their jobs. The beds are very large and also very hard. Round about is hard work the pavements are humpy and bumpy and weeds everywhere. Not a lot to do locally if your not a sun bather, nowhere nice to walk.

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, the rooms were bright and modern with all the facilities you could need.
The biggest asset were the staff, nothing was too much trouble and trust me I tried, all of the staff were there to make sure you enjoyed your holiday 100% and they succeeded.
Free minibus to the beach and lots of local restaurants and bars if you wanted a change to the hotels offering.
The hotel was spotless and staff worked hard to ensure COVID safety measures were followed
The only downside was only one pool was open due to a maintenance issue and it was not heated which was a shame.
I would definitely return

This hotel has lots of positives and a few areas to improve but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would say I find it difficult to rate but wanted to give a fair review , 3 is average and 4 is very good I would say it's 3.5 it's good for certain.
The team are helpful and welcoming.
Apartments are spacious, clean and comfortable
Choice of pools although sunbeds limited at the south quieter pool and there are times when it's shaded, North pool had music on from 11 and could be noisy but we always got a bed there.
Drinks were excellent and good quality although service under pressure was slower in the evening
Entertainment team were good but they needed to have better/ more music acts on especially with the hotel being isolated.
Food quality was good but sadly we found it to be luke warm / cold on several occasions so this could be improved.
Shuttle bus , beach and packed lunch all worked well and we used twice as very impressed the management team are clearly
working on improvement ideas for next season.
Areas of the hotel still need decorating / repairs but the main building is lovely.
Rooms / check in isn't until 4pm on occasion so be prepared for that. We were not expecting it as it's usually 2pm , take your own hairdryer ours in the room was not great.
Be prepared for room/ road noise we upgraded to a pool view room but the road is busy and when sat on balcony traffic is pretty consistent so spoils relaxing and taking in the beautiful views around it does get quieter at night as not a main road
I think car hire or more shuttle bus destination would help we used Uber to get to Villamoura and Albuifera around 12 euros each way.
Turn left out of hotel 15 min walk downhill was a few bars and restaurants towards beach area turn right 10 min walk to supermarket and a couple of restaurants/ bars .
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends with fair feedback of our holiday.

We came to this hotel for our honeymoon and it was perfect. To start the hotel is recently renovated and the lobby and restaurant are stylish and cool. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The food was good with nice variation of dishes. The bar was really nice with a good selection of drinks on the all inclusive (not all cocktails were included in the all inclusive but they were reasonably priced and delicious) drinks like pina coladas, margaritas & sangria were included and were delicious.

Pool was great and there was loads of loungers.

The rooms were not as swish and swanky as the lobby etc but they were still light, airy and clean. The bathroom wasn’t as fancy but again it was very reasonably priced so we didn’t expect a suite.

The best part of the room was the bed, which was AN ACTUAL DOUBLE BED not 2 singles pushed together like in most hotels.

The location of this hotel is good because you’re close to albuferia and villa moura for more lively towns with different vibes for a cheap taxi ride but it is quite a quiet area. There are a few nice bars and restaurants right by the hotel too & shops.

We will 100% be back.

They serve wine with breakfast and throughout the day. Food is average for an all inclusive but some lovely restaurant nearby and a taxi to the old town is reasonable. Enjoy.

Hi the bedrooms can only fit 1 king bed or 2 singles. You would have to have 2 adults in bed1. The kids in bed 2 with 2.single beds and 1 adult on the sofa bed in lounge. I slept on the sofa bed when I was there with my daughter and 2 grandkids. It was very comfy.
