We arrived on 1 June, and the drive was smooth, approx 25min. Driver met us at the airport.
The hotel is on a quaint side street, with a few local restaurants and a few shops with amenities like water, bread, butter, cheeses, alcohol and assorted other items.
You can purchase beach gear, toys towels sunscreen as well. Prices are reasonable.
A reg size bottle water .50eu a 1.5 ltr 1.50 eu
Come prepared to buy kitchen supplies like dish cloth and dish soap if planning to use any kitchen dishes.
There is a regular coffee maker, micro, double toaster and kettle.
Plenty of extra blankets and pillows are provided.
The indoor and outdoor lounge are lovely, however not in use. No restaurant open on property either. They said it was due to covid...the pool area is clean and quiet, with plenty of sunshades as well.
It's a 15min walk into the centre of the old Town, approx 1100 steps, coming back up after a long day, is brutal unless your a sprinter or Billy goat, but cabs are always available and cost 3.90eu, we gave 5eu each time and the ride is 5min.
The old town is lovely, busy, lots of food choices and tons of lovely shops for anything to suit everyone. Full of history and character...just beautiful!!
The new town is 10 min walk the other way down main rd, and it has plenty of meal choices, and a much easier walk on the feet but it's busy at night with party hours. Lots to do.
The Tuk Tuk is a great way to get a tour of the city, and we loved it, our driver was Luis, he was super friendly and gave good description of things as we passed by. 2hrs was 50eu
Love it everything about the area.
The beach is wonderful, be prepared to pay 6eu for a chaise, 12eu for 2, plus table and umbrella, that's daily.
2hr tour of caves and Doolin watching was quite an experience. We booked through a local company at the bottom of escalator in main square in old Town. It was much better than others on line, because the meeting point was there, and they bused us to the albufeira marina. It was 35eu pp.other companies sell for less, but beware of the boarding point, it may be several miles away from town.
Enjoy!!

Great location it’s right in the middle of the new and old towns around 15 -20 mins walk either direction, taxis from the old town are around €3.75-5.00 depending on time of day, the bus stop is at the top of the street that costs €1.40 to the old town.
The hotel is clean and comfortable we had a studio apartment these seem to be on the lower floors I think the 1 bedroom apartments are better plus they get the sun on the balcony.
We didn’t really use the kitchen much only for breakfast and brews. The cups are very small they could do with some mugs or beakers for a proper brew. In all good for the price.

A little dated and reception staff were hit and miss - some friendlier than others. Bar and snack bar have never re-opened after COVID so basically a self catering apartment with a pool rather than a "hotel". stayed in May and September 2022 and no issues with cleaning of the pool and our room, if you want your towels changed leave them on the floor and they will be changed! In a quiet street (apart form the late night revellers on their way home to the Monica Isabel) 3 little supermarkets, 2 bars (Bar Azul does incredible take away pizza) and the fabulous Panacee Portuguese restaurant. 15 minute walk to the square or the strip or 5 euros in a cab, steep walk down to the beach only takes a couple of minutes with loungers ranging from 5 - 10 euros per day based on how close you are to a restaurant. We love it but if you want a lively holiday this is not the place! Already booked for May 2023

Just returned from 11 nights, we booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge! Really big lounge area, two bathrooms (one was an en suite), two balconies, it was really lovely. There was air con in the lounge and two bedrooms which was a god send. Housekeeping came everyday, but they can come right up to about 5.30pm. The beds were made each day but linen wasn’t changed, I wasn’t too bothered about this but my husband was, I’m sure if we’d asked they would have changed it. Towels were changed about twice a week. The wifi is very patchy, some days it would connect, other days it wouldn’t. The best signal we got was by the pool!
Pool area is really nice, got 3 sun beds and an umbrella everyday, no mad having to get down by 7am to put towels on beds! There’s a review about the colour of the pool being green, this is true, but was one afternoon and was fine the next day. The bar/restaurant areas aren’t open, I believe they haven’t re-opened since COVID. There are three little mini-markets right on the door step. There are also a few bars/snack bars/restaurants on the same road, Panacee is definitely the best one. The beach is about 100m away down a fairly steep hill. On the way back up, and in the heat I did find this a bit of a struggle (I’m not particularly fit I have to say). The strip is about a 10/15 minute walk, and the Old Town about 15/20 mins walk (first part downhill, second part uphill!) Overall we had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend.

This place is more like a serviced (& not very well at that) apartment than a hotel & nothing like the description given. Good things first - excellent location (10 minutes walk from both Albufeira old town & new town & couple of minutes from a nice beach). Good pool, altho the water was always cold. Rooms clean but basic. Communal areas not kept very clean. No other facilities such as bar, snack bar, entertainment available. Some staff not especially friendly or helpful. Pool didn’t even open until 9am then couldn’t use pool or sun beds as pool man starting hosing everything down then. Holiday description (from Easyjet) stated categorically that the hotel does not accept groups of singles which is not true as several stag parties staying.

The hotel is nice and is situated midway between Albufeira old town and new towns.
The 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in was quite large and overlooked the pool.

The pool is nice and is cleaned every morning (I saw them doing it). There are plenty of sun beds but nowhere near enough parasols unfortunately and doesn’t have a pool bar

The bar and restaurant inside the hotel are NOT open even if the website says they are (June 2022). I assume this is to do with lack of staff after Covid-19.

I would have rated the hotel higher if my room had been cleaned more than once in the week I was there and the towels and bed linen had been changed the amount of times the hotel states it does. We had to go and ask at reception to even get it done the single time it was and go and dump our own rubbish.
Again prob a lack of staff with the aftermath of Covid-19.

On arrival Deborah was most friendly and informative. We had booked a studio, but we were given a 1 bed apartment on the 4th floor with great views of the sea. The beds were really comfortable; even the pull out one in the lounge. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a variety of lunches. The location is great; either a 10 minute walk on the road or 15 minute walk along the beach into the old town ( never ventured into the new part). In parts it’s slightly dated and we had issues with the shower, but we’ll worth the money we paid. Would definitely return.

Stayed at the hotel recently. The young man that checked us in was very friendly throughout the stay. Good location 10 minute walk into the new town, old town Taxi/Tuk Tuk into the old town would recommended as it’s very hilly but a 4/5 minute drive in a taxi. Beach is literally a minute walk downhill but a big hill coming back up so be prepared. Rooms were really big with really big balcony overlooking the pool, but very outdated and could do with some money being put into it. The Aircon didn’t work in the rooms so got very hot day and night and we had to leave the doors open. Advertisement said 2 jacuzzis both of which were closed, says a bar/restaurant available neither of which were both were closed off. If not offering the service needs to be mentioned to people paying to stay at the hotel before booking.

We stayed for a week in June in a one bedroom apartment. The lounge area was huge with a lovely comfy sofa, the kitchen was small but functional, the bathroom was dated but acceptable and the bedroom was a good size. The immediate area had loads of supermarkets and a few bars which was ideal, especially as the hotel bar/ restaurant was closed (this was a shame as the area looked large and beautiful). The pool area was lovely - seemed to have plenty of beds but nowhere near enough parasols. The main problem whilst we were there was the cleaning of the rooms. During the week we were there our room was cleaned "properly" just the once which is really disappointing. We found ourselves sweeping the lounge and balcony areas every day ourselves which is not on. We're not too bothered about the towels and beds being changed but simple things like the rubbish being collected surely must be a must in 30 degree temperatures. The beds and pillows were SO comfy!

Lovely receptionist, the area this is located is nice, close to the beach about a 15 min walk to the strip or old town. The room however was average, the room is dirty mainly in corners and under the bed, and had bugs in the bathtub a couple of nights. The balcony is quite big however wish they had an ashtray. The cleaners only cleaned the room once and the 2nd time my friend asked for them to clean they didn’t take the bins out or done the bed so not actually sure if they even cleaned the room. Read that the pool was only open July- September but the pool was open. The Jacuzzi was broken apparently and didn’t actually know where it was. They told us to go to a different hotel went there for them to say the same thing went to the third hotel of theirs which had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Tried to play pool the one night but was blocked by loads of chairs so not sure what that was about. So overall was average but wouldn’t stay here longer than a couple of days.

Hi, I didn't even know there was a bar and restaurant in the hotel, but what I can tell you is that you Definitely CAN take drinks and snacks around the pool which is why we weren't bothered about there not being a bar or restaurant. There is a wonderful restaurant just down from the hotel, I wish I could remember the name. I had an amazing Portuguese steak there. It's literally the first place that you come to walking down the hill that looks like a very small restaurant
