The Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa garners mixed feedback, with visitors praising the spacious and clean rooms, though some suggest the need for modernization. The central location is a hit for its convenience to local attractions, yet some guests point out beach access could be better. While the hotel's amenities, including the gym and pools, are generally well-received, a few reviewers note room features and spa services could be enhanced. The atmosphere is mostly appreciated but the music choices receive mixed reactions. Service is recognized for its friendliness, despite occasional responsiveness hiccups.

The hotel is situated in a very good location and the free shuttle bus is great to explore other areas. The staff throughout are all amazing with an extra mention to Carlos and the room cleaners. Good variety for breakfast and always well stocked. The staff surprised us with a bottle of bubbly in our room for my birthday which was lovely. This is more feedback than a negative- they need to consider the non all inclusive customers and the tea/coffee facilities should be made available in our rooms as a standard. A kettle and mugs were provided with a 30 euro deposit which is first for all of the holidays we have been on abroad. As we were travelling with our baby this was a must for her milk facilities but the fridge in the room was very helpful for this. I would consider coming back to this lovely hotel and would recommend to everyone.

Stayed here for 5 nights while visiting the algarve
All staff were very friendly and helpful, providing information on places to visit.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
We booked premium all inclusive and the food in the restaurant was good but there was not a lot of variety with very similar dishes each night, I can't say what lunch was like as, although we're had inclusive meals, we were ot visiting during the day so had lunch out.
Breakfast was good with quite a bit of choice including hot food ( sausages, bacon, eggs etc) as well as cereal fruit and other options.
The hotel had only recently re opened when we visited so not all facilities were available but we did enjoy the quiz nights and bingo.
We're stayed over valentine's and the hotel had a large event for the weekend and we suddenly had 400 extra guests at the hotel which caused a bit of chaos in the restaurant and bar.
The only problems we found were that we had paid premium all inclusive to get free use of the pool, gym etc and free parking ade were had driven to the area. The pool was heated but in muy opinion was not warm enough so we only swam 1 day, the gym had plenty of options for free weights and machines but the 1 treadmill couple of bikes were very old and in need of changing/ updating. The spa area was nice but the Turkish bath and the hot tub were not working which was a shame. So effectively we're paid extra and got not much extra for our money.
The other issue was our shower head sprayed everywhere when on and needs changing and there was a noise from, were assumed, the kitchen below when the staff were prepping really morning a door internally was swinging and squeaking which was annoying.
All in all I would recommend a stay here, the value for money is great and the hotel staff were amazing.

I was at the Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa for a few days in October and I can only recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break. I traveled alone and didn't use the spa, so I can't vouch for that or for the children's programme, but my room was spacious, very well kept, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet has everything you need to start the day, the outdoor swimming pool is great for a long, sunny afternoon time, and Covid rules are taken seriously - there's disinfectant gel everywhere and the staff are always wearing their masks; plastic gloves are also provided at the breakfast buffet.

There's a regular shuttle bus service to the nearby beaches and for those who prefer walking, like myself, the hotel's location is a 20-minute walk from Albufeira's old town, with its myriad restaurants and bars. This means that while we're never far from the most popular spots in town, the hotel is in a quiet location and a short walk away from the bus station with connections to other parts of Algarve and to Lisbon, and the guests get to sleep quietly at night.

Very recommended.

Avoid unless you want to eat everything and not put weight on, as the food is a great laxative. No kettle unless you hire one, iron to press your clothes you have to hire one, in the room, the safety deposit boxes you have to hire.
The food was awful, tasteless and food was recycled for the evening meals.
the steam room, pool table, jacuzzi broken.
The furniture I.e chairs sofas are dirty ripped and tired looking.
You are given paper/plastic cups for your drinks, the service is slow, I guess one person manning the bar day and evening puts people off ordering drinks.
The drinks are budget and could not knock a budgie out.
The entertainment is very 80’s and the atmosphere is noisy and boring. Some what reminds me of the film, The Shining...I was expecting blood gushing from the lifts...
This hotel has no character charm, it is solely in my opinion a profit making hotel, no interest in the customer.
The best thing about this hotel is the exit.

The hotel is too expensive for the services that are offered. Me and my fiance booked in a holiday at this hotel and paid almost £1000 for 7 nights with breakfast included. We've chosen this hotel based on the reviews of other people but clearly this wasn't a good choice. To start from the beginning, the hotel is 20-25 mins away from the beach and old town so if you're looking to be close to the beach I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The second thing is that we had to pay £25 deposit for the safe and another £25 the cost of it(in my opinion this should have been included in the whole price but they seem to wrip off people in any way they can). If you needed to use rhe iron, the first hour was free and then they charge £5/hour which I find ridiculous. The breakfast was good but they had the same food every day although based on other people's reviews, they should have had a variety of dishes but they didn't. In the advert they said that we'll have access to the inside pool and jacuzzi and gym and spa facilities but when we got there we were told that we cannot use the spa and jacuzzi as they are closed and we can only use the indoor pool and the gym but only by booking them. The water of the inside pool was cold although they said that it should be warm and the gym had old equipment that could barely be used. The outside pools are too small.

As a conclusion, the hotel is too expensive and overrated and is not worth paying that much when there are a lot of hotels in that area from where you can chose. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for couples.

Stayed here for 4 nights bnb with family, hotel is spotless, very clean and the room was a decent size for the 3 of us. Masks have to be worn inside hotel and there is plenty of sanitiser etc around. Breakfast is ok, but a bit of a queue earlier on and people still don’t know that we are trying to stick to social distancing, totally ignoring the sign where it says breakfast queue starts here, jump the queue and brush past you. I found the best time to go is 10.15 ish where it’s quieter. I’m glad I was only bed and breakfast I don’t think I could put up with that 3 times a day.

Pool area is very good and if your up by 9 you’ll get a sunbed no problem, the pool area gets busy late afternoon

The shuttle bus is currently not running due to covid, and with this being a little out the way it’s a case of taxis coming back from the beach etc as it’s all up hill, it’s not so bad walking down.

We stayed here as part of a Jet2 All Inclusive holiday, for 4 nights at the beginning of March.
The hotel is in need of updating. The aircon did not work in our room, and it was extremely warm at night, so we left the balcony door open. The room itself has everything you need but is basic, and quite dated. The lamp was broken, as was the TV.
The food was also very basic. We ended up eating out a lot; it was all quite bland tasting and mostly tinned fruit or veg. Not much fresh food. I am vegetarian and there was very limited choice. Also you are not allowed to take food or drinks up to your room, so I could not take a coffee and a snack for example. All has to be eaten downstairs.
Not all drinks included in the all inclusive. Also we had to stock up on bottled water as the bar only provides tiny bottles - 30cl. They also do not like giving out more than one per person.

The hotel does provide a shuttle bus but the bus driver was often late.

The area is good. Ideal location - only 20 mins walk to the old town, and another 20 in the opposite direction to the strip/new town. Near a Lidl and Aldi, as well as a McDonald’s and some bars/restaurants.

Stayed for 1 week 6th-13th Feb.
Courtesy bus was a bonus as the immediate area is a bit hilly for those with walking difficulties
Rooms were a good size plus a massive bathroom and was kept very clean
Restaurant was 1st class. There was a good selection and quality of food plus they had the ability to keep food hot without drying it up.
Weather was a bonus and we were able to sit by the pool(s) each day. I say pool(s) because of the tome of year you got the sun by the adult pool in the morning and by the main pool in the afternoon. Unfortunately the water was too cold to swim. I would have loved to swim in the indoor pool but because of my mobility restrictions, I could probably have got in but not able to get out as there were no walk-in steps.
The hotel was very clean but needs some updating, eg the bar/lounge area.
Entertainment was not up to much but it was low season.
All staff were very friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.
Thank you

This hotel has so much potential and would benefit from some upgrading. It purports to be four stars, but I would suggest a decent three. The room was a ‘standard’ class and was spacious with an equally spacious bathroom. The beds were comfy snd the balcony was pleasant. Our friends paid for ‘premium’, but their room was actually much smaller than ours, although they had coffee making facility, which we did not. Also, the premium rate included some branded drinks rather than local, but we felt the extra cost wasn’t worthwhile. The restaurant food is so-so, but the baguette snacks were fresh and tasty from the outdoor bar.

The outside area was pleasant, the pool was baltic cold!

The hotel is situated a pleasant 20 minute walk from the Old Town beach, but there are regular shuttle buses from the hotel. A taxi to the Old Town is €5 and the hotel are happy to order for you.

The hotel is non smoking, but the ground floor hallway to our room always smelt dank. Not sure what that was about as our friends on the second floor had a lighter more pleasant smelling hallway.

Staff seemed friendly enough. Cannot comment on the spa as didn’t use it during the weekend.

We stayed in this hotel after a road trip sleeping in the van. It was a fabulous break. Everybody was extremely friendly and the food was really good. I also appreciated all the cleaning and safety that we saw during dinner and breakfast
Desinfecting the tables properly after every guest. Keep it up!
