Me and my 3 friends have our girls holiday once a year, we choose 4 nights as thats enough haha
This year we decided to have a change from our usual trip to Lagos and to do all inclusive in Albuferia.
We booked through love holidays which was great as we all paid the holiday of every month so we didnt feel it as much.
We arrived at the hotel early evening as previous people have said you are greeted by a lovely reception, checking in was easy for us, we paid the duty tax but no deposit for the room, we have learnt it's mostly the groups of males who are asked to pay 300euros each in cash, so be prepared, and take pics of any damage to show them asap !! Its a bit unfair really cos girls could do exactly the same damage.

Anyway our room was a 1 bedroomed apartment with a little kitchen area, nice bathroom (4 of us girls always managed to get a shower without losing pressure/heat etc..

There was a pull out bed in the lounge that became 2 singles, not just a make up sofa, we had a big balcony over looking the pool and we did have a partial view of the sea. The room was cleaned everyday, and we got clean towels.

The pool are was lovely, im a early riser so I witnessed it being cleaned of a morning and PH tested. The pool bar only opened at 11am, where there was a variety of soft, alcoholic or food available, ok not a huge variety but enough, I personally thought the woman who worked it from 11am - 6pm was lovely.

We did laugh when we went down to the restaurant the 1st night, if your used to All Inclusive with a massive array of food and food being cooked for you well this isn't the place, it's a small selection but enough to not over load your plate cos your being greedy and then leave most of it. There is a bar aswell so your not waiting for drinks to be brought to you, you just go up yourself.

There was no pool entertainment or games around the pool area, but there was looped music.

We met some great people and had a good laugh, we would return to this hotel but it defo wouldn't be my choice for a family with children, not that there is anything wrong for kids, there just isn't much for them at this hotel.
The reception would ring us a taxi and it cost 5euros to Albuferia old and new town or you can get a tuk tuk which is hillarious x

All the staff were lovely here and as usually work their guts off.

One final thing, we changed the name to Fawlty Towers haha.

We loved our time here xx

After reading some reviews about the Luna Miramar we both were a bit worried. We were all inclusive, we only went for lunch and tea one night as we realised they had been reheating hot dogs, pizza, re using pasta from lunch at dinner time. This automatically put us off going for lunch and dunner, we only had breakfast as there’s dry options such as bread and cereal. The staff were not the friendliest at all. The rooms were spacious, all I would say is the ‘ safe’ isn’t really safe. I would just warn people to lock stuff in your suitcase. They don’t change beds either, same sheets on bed, towels only get changed 3 times a week. The main disappointment was the food as we paid a lot of money to come all inclusive and we ended up having to eat out every night. If you are coming here I would suggest self catering, there’s a big supermarket just across from the hotel it has a brilliant store where you can buy plenty food and snacks. If your coming with kids I’d be careful about the road outside the hotel and there’s a loading bay for the shopping centre which is always busy with Lorry’s and we felt quite unsafe crossing the road there as the pavement cuts off. It has good links to the old town and the strip, only 5-6 euro for an Uber to both. We felt the Ubers were good and friendly, very easy to get an Uber. The drinks at all inclusive where not the greatest they had one beer and it was imperial, they sell bottles of cider, beer at the bar but there extortionate, £20 euro for two cans of kopperberg!

This hotel is spotless, very clean although the staff let this place down. First day when checking in, the receptionist didn’t have a clue when speaking to us, we tried to pay for our tourist tax to be told they only take cash, when we gave a 20 euro note, he said he doesn’t have any change. I asked for a cup of ice for my drink at the pool bar for the woman to be very rude and say 2 euro, when I asked again she was very annoyed and I said do you have to pay? And she said yes 2 euro, i didn’t think you would have to pay for 2 ice cubes seeing as it is an all inclusive hotel, the guy beside me was also shocked at this!
When checking out, the reception staff was useless! Very slow and didn’t understand much, made us feel very uncomfortable when we were getting our luggage from the luggage room as he was watching us like a hawk! I also asked for a towel so I could get dried for going home, as we had checked out it was €1.50 so I gave him the money and he said no another €10, so if you need towels it costs €1.50 per day with a €10 holding deposit per towel.
There was a broken safe in the room, had no locks/keypad it was a metal box that swung open, the cleaners cleaned every day and again, the place was spotless although they didn’t leave us clean towels, twice we had to go and get more towels as they had taken the dirty ones and left 1 small hand towel. This hotel is great, but the staff let it down massively, very deep pool approximately 9 feet! Pool area is lovely and very big rooms.

First day and not a good impression ...flat tonic served from bottles, I politely explained and asked for a fresh one, when paying over 5euro for a gin and tonic out a plastic cup, you expect it to be fizzy at least. Bar staffs attitude, throwing the drink away and huffing and puffing along with dirty looks. Don't be in a customer facing job if you can't give customer service.
Hotel rooms little dated with old fashioned wardrobes, kitchen needs updated and so does bathroom tiles, grout etc. Room does have a safe but with no lock so that's no good either.
Reception area nicely styled.
Let's hope the rest of our stay improves.

Lovely hotel all round. We stayed Monday-Friday here at Luna Mirimar. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who was approachable, kind and happy to help. Our room was an apartment lots of space, very clean with kitchen area which is handy if you are self catering. We stayed all inclusive. Meals were good plenty of choice and tasty food. Pool bar is great with drinks and snacks throughout the day. Nice atmosphere around the pool plenty of beds although they do get reserved early. Shopping centre and supermarket a few minutes walk down the road and plenty of shops, restaurants around. The beach and old town 15 min walk away or 10 if your fast! As we stayed during Covid pandemic, the hotel was thoroughly cleaned all over numerous times a day , hand sanitizer available all around, masks are worn when using bars/ restaurants except when eating of course. as a lot of measures put in place to ensure Safety of guests. All staff worked so hard and kept friendly, positive moral. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you

Hotel is in a good location. We were a family of 5, 4 adults and a toddler. First impression on arrival nice hotel. Our room was spacious, really clean on arrival. However not cleaned for duration of holiday, it was a bit dated. Beds were made 3 1/2 times, on one occasion we declined as timings were at 4pm. Had to ask for toilet roll as not always replaced, only to be given one roll at a time. Water was an issue, the pressure is so poor you shower under a trickle. No cot bed on arrival asked and cot set up no mattress complained as thought was broken and was then remedied with a mattress. Pool was okay and we were awake early enough to get a sun bed. Pool bar okay and food fresh. All inclusive breakfast not bad. Lunch and dinner edible but choice not great. Staff in restaurant pleasant and helpful. If looking for something other than alcohol some staff are happy to help which makes this not appropriate for young families. As another reviewer commented you only pay for what you get.

was abit skeptical after reading previous reviews on this hotel but would not recommend it more! me and my friends (a group of 8 girls) stayed for 6 nights and it was perfect!

we had read reviews about the €300 deposit which we had all taken with us but were told we did not need it as we seemed like nice girls so just be careful as i have read that groups of boys are typically asked for it. just take pictures of the room as you enter and report any damage already there to the reception

the hotel itself is lovely, very clean all the time and no bugs! the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. the general cleanliness is 10/10. the balcony’s are great get a lot of sun in the day and quite large. the rooms themselves have lots of storage with wardrobes etc and kitchen areas came with utensils for cooking meals. comes with aircon which is great and can be left on throughout the day so the rooms are nice and cool when coming home.

the drinks were very strong so definitely worth the money! coming from a very picky eater, the food was great! lots of different options for people who like different foods but still had enough for those who are picker (always chips, burgers and hotdogs). they had a pool bar which was open for snacks when the lunch was closed which served a variety of paninis/hotdogs etc.

not much for entertainment in the day which we didn’t mind as music played around the pool areas. sunbeds were very easy to get all throughout the day and the pool was never really busy no matter the time of day. there is the poolside sunbeds and also an area up the stairs located above the resteraunt which always had sunbeds free.

you can play music on the balcony’s but i would recommend you turn it down past 11pm as the night porter will knock on your rooms which happened to a few people. overall no roudy groups just some people playing music which we couldn’t hear when actually in the rooms with the doors shut.

the hotel was not a far walk from anything lots of food places available to those who are not all inclusive. it is located behind a shopping centre which had clothes shops, food places (burger king/taco bell) and a supermarket. prices are so cheap so we stocked up on snacks and water for the room. it’s about a 15min walk to the old and new town but ubers were about €4.50 so very cheap. would definitely recommend the new town to younger groups but the older town was surprisingly lively about 10pm.

honestly no complaints about this hotel 10/10 would definitely stay again. staff were very friendly and helpful!

Not a 4* experience.check in is 4pm , we arrived at 12 noon, after waiting for 4hours the room was still not ready. I asked why and was told “ good question”. No apologies given , asked to speak with the manager , he gave no explanation, was hostile in manner, appeared to make some phone calls then eventually the room was ready. Room was a decent size, slightly dated. Key fob constantly vibrated loudly when in its holder, had to be on for electricity. Door onto balcony was heavy to open and close. Room cleaned daily, although toiletries were not replenished, one tiny bar of soap for 10 days, I would not expect this from a 4* hotel. Pool was a decent size, not enough sun loungers available, lots were needing replacements as were of poor quality, umbrellas were also poor, lots of them had broken adjustable height clips. Pool bar staff were nice, drinks were average, cocktails mostly pre mixed from a machine . Mixers were flat and warm. No lemon or lime in drinks.
Indoor bar was very poor, no atmosphere ,local football on tv all the time . No music, no adult entertainment, no outdoor seating and all drinks in plastic cups. Was not a welcoming atmosphere, very clinical.
Restaurant staff were friendly, food was nice, plenty of choices.
Overall I would rate this a 2* experience, the weather , pool and food were positive, everything else was a huge disappointment.

My husband son and myself arrived for 1 weeks all inclusive holiday. We arrived late after 9.30 due to flight ti.e and weren't offered a snack cup of tea etc. I had to provide our 3 passports for ID which was fine, reading reviews before arriving at the hotel I was sceptical abou the place it is a nice hotel inside but defitnley not 4 star!
We were given our wrist bands for all inclusive so next morning we attended the dining area for meals food was OK, mostly fish and Portuguese food not catered to irish/English visitors. If you like skinny fries then you are in luck!!
Same pasta from lunch is given for dinner and the same with desserts. The all inclusive part is nit great there is only the pool bar open between 12 and 6 pm and once that closed the lobby bar opens for 6 to 11 although the notice board says 12.
There I one big pool and wee pool for kids big pool very very cold and deep, there is music on but same cd absolutely no activities at all and only some nights have entertainment for 2 or 2.5 hours.
You are about 10 minutes from albufueria old town and 15 minutes from new town.
Staff are friendly and do anything for you!!! but I do not feel it is worth 4 star status and believe me I am.no snob at all!
On check out day we got our all inclusive band off at 10.50 even though our pick up wasn't till 5pm I did not eat the food myself bur it would have been nice if husband and son could have got something, after all the food was paid for?
I think this needs to be looked into and some sort of voucher or token given so people waiting on transfers cab get a complimentary tea coffee and a sandwich.
Other than that the holiday has been ok but I would gey something with activities if you are coming with kids

We stayed as a group of 6 women on a hen party ages ranging from mid twenties to late thirties. Having read the more recent reviews we were apprehensive, however I feel that we got what we paid for. The rooms were basic but quite spacious and clean with large balconies all facing inwards towards the pool area. The pool area was nice, we managed to get sun-beds each day but had to get up early as they were all gone by 9-10am. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. There was no mention of a deposit at check in, we were not asked to pay one. The food was fine, there were similar options each day for lunch and dinner, this was okay for a short break but could get boring for any longer. Drinks were not watered down, good measures and decent choice with cocktails included. There were other large groups of hens and stags, some seemed to be rowdier than others. I would not want to stay in this hotel as a family with children. I wouldn’t say that this is a 4 star, maybe 2-3 star but for the price we paid it was fine and we had a nice stay.
