Having read the reviews on this hotel that a friend had booked for us I was expecting the worst so I was determined to write a review. We got a really good deal self catering, 3 of us went we booked 2 one bedroom apartments. On arrival we were dealt with promptly at reception and given clear instructions as to where everything was and how to get our rooms. The apartments were massive in ours you could have slept 5 and in the other 4. Everything was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. There were loads of spare pillows and blankets. Yes a little dated but our 2 were very well maintained. Shower was powerful and always loads of hot water. Staff were always super friendly and helped us print boarding cards and anything else we needed. The shop is great selling essentials like milk bread papers wine beer ham cheese etc and we didn’t find it expensive maybe a bit more than the supermarket down the road but so convenient. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on that mainly because there is a fantastic snack bar just down the road before the big supermarket called Marinellas and it is absolutely fantastic. Great food and so cheap and staff super friendly. The hotel is quiet and you can get a great nights sleep yet less then €5 to go either to the old or new town both very lively and taxis always at rank just outside hotel by the big supermarket. I was sleeping on the bed settee and it was very comfortable and a lot bigger than I expected. We never had a problem waiting for the lifts they might have taken a few minutes but that’s normal in a hotel. Yes I would advise renting a sun lounger for €5 if you like your comfort you get lounger mattress towel table and umbrella and the lads doing them are so nice and make sure your happy with shade etc and you’re on the grass which I really liked and by the toilets and bar. There are free ones around the pool also. Cleaners come in every day to change towels, clean bathroom, stock up toilet roll, empty bins but don’t wash up or clean balcony but that was fine with us. Make sure to leave dirty towels on floor. There is a toaster and kettle microwave, oven and hairdryer(not the best) decent sized fridge which is super cold and small freezer compartment. The temperature over there was hitting 30 degrees and we found air conditioning fantastic, only down side is that when air conditioning is on the balcony gets very hot due to where the units are placed. When we were on balcony we turned air conditioning off. Overall I enjoyed my stay here found it great value for money, staff very helpful, quiet but great location would return again. Only thing we had to buy were mugs. No it’s not luxury accommodation but we found it great value for money

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. As the title says great price, we could have paid much more to stay elsewhere (maybe better maybe worse?)

We arrived early evening and had a swift check in, up to our room (844)on the 8th (top) floor looking out to the road, disappointed at first, but we would ask for the same again as it kept the room much cooler through the day. Basic, clean and slightly dated room, ideal for self catering with a small kitchen area with most of the tools you need. I noticed straight away because I like to mess that the air con wasn’t working, told staff at the desk, we billed out to the supermarket (literally 2 mins walk up the road) and half and hour later air con is working, as others have said it’s not the best but it does a job. Bathroom is spacious, and the shower might not look much but was really good. Rooms get a tidy every day with fresh towels if you leave your used ones on the floor. Final thing on the room, one night our neighbours decided to have a party on the balcony til 4 in the morning, quick call to reception and 10 mins later the problem sorted.. sweet dreams.

We didn’t do all inc or eat at the hotel so can’t comment on food or eating areas.

Pool area is big and clean on the whole... pool is a good size and has some diving ledges for the little kids and the big kids, as always when abroad it’s a little chilly but you get used to it. A big grass area can also be used for sun bathing too, plenty room for all. The beds are a little basic and are free, we paid for the slightly padded covers at €2 each per day from 10am. For €5 each you can have a better adjustable bed with towel and cover. Drinks available by the pool also.

We had actually priced up to maybe go back in October about 2 hours before quarantine hit again.

To wrap it up.. the couple of issues we had were sorted very quickly, yes we would go back at the right price and might be back sooner than you think. Yes there will be much nicer hotels you could go to and pay a lot more for. This place did the job for us, right price and a decent base for our stay.

The hotel is okay. Definitely a 2 or 3 star at best.

Beds are small and uncomfortable, rooms are clean but smell and feel old. There is a kitchenette but no washing up liquid or sponge. Housekeeping comes daily to tidy up, refresh towels etc.

The hotel in general feels a bit tired and could use a face lift

Location is good, easy access to old town and new town. Close to shopping.

Would I stay again? Unlikely but i did enjoy my time in Albufeira.

Brilliant hotel. Stayed here with 4 children and had a fantastic holiday.
Very efficient check in, staff very polite and helpful.
The room itself was lovely, everything we could have wanted for our stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and was fabulous. We had 2 bathrooms which was a pleasant surprise and everything was spotlessly clean. The housekeeping team were brilliant and asked us every day if we wanted the room cleaned or if we needed anything...fresh towels, toilet roll etc. Superb.
The hotel itself is in a great location, not too far to anything. We loved the old town and is just 15 min walk away...And on the times we didn't fancy walking the taxi rank is just a little way down the road.
The hotel facilities were great. We didn't try the restaurant as we always went out to eat but the bar was great with entertainment if you wanted later on.
Kids loved the indoor pool and was perfect for this time of year when the outdoor pools would be a bit cold.
All in all we had a fabulous stay here and couldn't fault anything. Thank you Hotel Paraiso.

After reading some reviews on here I was a little weary of what to expect?
Upon a arrival we were greeted by the very friendly receptionist who promptly booked us in.
We went to the lift and only needed to go down 1 floor to level 2 as the reception was on level 3, the lift arrived within a minute so we loaded cases in and our self’s, came out the lift turned right and our room was on the right room 244.

On entry to the room on the left was the bathroom, shower over bath ( with shower curtain that loved you ) the shower was lovely and powerful and hot, toilet, bidet, sink and hairdryer which worked well.

Onto the living area with fully equipped kitchen, cooker pots and pans microwave and everything you needed, separated by a curtain.

The living area comprised of a dining table wardrobes and cupboards and Air con at no extra charge plus 2 single beds which were firm but comfortable and we both slept very well plenty of pillows and spare blankets that were no needed, patio doors leading to the balcony with city view according to the booking, well the view we had was a brick wall literally looking at a car park above us, this let the room down big time.

We went to reception and asked to upgrade understanding there would be a charge and they duly obliged they moved us to another room on the opposite side of the hotel on the 7th floor
With pool view for the cost of €60 for 6 nights which was well worth it ( should have been €14 a night but gave us a discount.) The new room was massive could have slept 5 people, there was 2 sofa beds in the living room plus table and chairs a single bed on its own and a huge twin bedroom with double balcony.

We were bed and breakfast and used the restaurant most mornings (if we were up in time 8-10am)
The breakfast was ok pretty much the same on offer but plenty of it, eggs bacon sausage beans, fruit, continental breakfast juices tea coffee.

Only negative we had was the hairdryer just glowed red and smelt burning then tripped out also the balcony light wouldn’t work, we reported this to reception on a couple of occasions and nothing was done, again this is the only negative and certainly didn’t spoil our holiday.

Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough for you, yes the hotel is a little dated but very clean, the maids did a smashing job and were very friendly and chatty too

Thank you for making our stay and holiday a memorable one
We would definitely return again.

Well, after reading these reviews i I have to be honest even on the way on the taxi I was dreading what we were going to walk into.

The hotel entrance and lobby were pretty huge and felt like we were within short walk to the supermarkets and local restaurants. We arrived late at night with a very helpful receptionist who checked us in.

Due to previous reviews I was expecting to be facing the car park, however this is also over the main entrance and oversees the main drag. (Also sunset side so perfect for on the vein ha for getting ready)

The next morning we took a walk round the hotel, massive new gym area, indoor pool, arcades, a beauty spa, shops and cafe! All clean and plenty of space! The outdoor pool was huge and the bar areas clean with music playing in day.

Cleaners circulated the pool hourly to pick up rubbish, to be fair so many bins around it tends to be the lazy lot round the pool who dirty it 2 mins after a clean. But this happens everywhere you go on holiday. Drinks prices were fair and you could take your own down along with snacks. Pool food was general pizza/burger chips etc all cooked well.

The groups were up for AI drinks all day and seemed happy with them. We were SC and very happy with our kitchen/ tools and so ma y shops around to garb what we needed to make snacks for day.

The big red tour bus company main stop was directly outside the hotel entrance and was stop no1 perfectly located between old/ new town.

The hotel was cleaned daily, as was our room and replenished with towels and soaps/toilet roll.

The bar men were happy to make up cocktails not on menu if they had ingredients, a large Negroni €6!! Absolute bargain! The lads all happy to serve even when taking abuse from some of the not so nice guests.

Any hen do and lad groups all kept themselves to themselves and playing some banging tunes.

The photographer really wasn’t a problem, being a little cheesy but totally doing his best to get some smiles in.

Due to the age and look of hotel and the location to so many places I would never pick all inclusive especially as it’s so cheap to stay there, it just would be the kind of food I would expect. Not sure why people pay lemonade money and expect champagne lifestyle.

I wish I hadn’t panicked so much!!

Taxis all day never more that €4 to old town.

Beds were comfy and sheets/ blankets were clean. No quilts needed in that heat.

Will be happily returning with other family in future as it’s a perfect little spring board to explore!

It’s not a new hotel in IBZ or KOS so stop expecting that if you getting a sweet deal on the price.

It’s clean, big and I really loved our week there.

Obrigada to the team!

Worst hotel I have ever been to rooms cold sun never hit are room once at any point of the day. bites on my legs from the beds bed clothes look like they were about 10 years old there was a smell of all the pillows like stale sweat. Definitely not a 4-star hotel maybe back 30 years ago but not in this day and age. Indoor and outdoor pool were not heated only thing that was heated was the jacuzzi.spend a little bit more in a different hotel you will be in comfort because you will have a sore back beds were awful small single beds we booked a double room and we got a twin room.stay else where

Stayed here in October for 5 days. Quick check at 8.30pm. We stayed in room 414 and were very impressed at the size of it, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms plus lounge with kitchen and dining area. Very large supermarket within a short walk from the hotel.
The new town was about a 10 minute walk from turning right as we came out of the hotel and the old town was about 20 minutes in the opposite direction. There were not many people about due to covid but we had a really good stay and will definitely go back again. The hotel had plenty of sanitising stations around communal areas and we had to wear face coverings when walking around the hotel. The staff were all very friendly throughout our stay. The bars in both the old and new town all followed the guidelines around covid too and we never felt that we could be at risk of catching it. The pool area was clean and the pool bar staff were really friendly. Overall we had a great stay and can't wait to go back when restrictions around covid are eased or totally lifted.

The pool is the best feature. It is a good location to one side is the old town and the other the new all in walking distance
The games room was never open, kids club kit every day and the gym is €8 euros per person.
We were upgraded due to our room not being ready but the 3rd bedroom wasn’t inviting in fact creepy and my kid still decided to sleep on the sofa.
Areas of the hotel dated and in need of maintenance, such as locks missing on toilet doors in the apartment and public areas, windows aren’t cleaned, tiles missing on bottom of the pool and cleaning.
Cleaning very basic we had blood stained towels and stained bed sheets, only beds are made and towels tidied. We stayed 10 days and had fresh on day 5
My eldest is celiac and there was very limited options during meal times and no gluten free at the snack bar we had to keep buying food from spar
The karaoke is good and some of the entertainers, but they have a repítele and parrot show twice a week and the lady carries a snake around the room to which I have a phobia and had to spend 2 evenings in reception
entertainment starts around 9:30, all inclusive drinks end at 11
Staff were helpful and friendly

OMG I really am not a person to leave bad reviews but what I experienced I would not want anybody else to experience. Upon arrival the reception team we lovely. We got our keys headed for the room, the hallways stinked. We entered our room fridge was leaking, not a major deal we cleaned it up. The mattresses had springs hopping out, 1 bath towel for 3 of us staying it was an ordeal to get further towels as they more or less thought we stole 2 others. Tiles were broken in the bathroom. Here's the shocker no electricity in the rooms, there was a sign in the elevator it would be out for 2hrs not 8 or 9 hrs for 3days. When I asked receptionist what was going on, she insisted it was out in the area, false information as your gym operated no problem and your hairdressers operated no problem and music by the pool and restaurant outside operated no problem, any place you were being charged for the service was working. When I asked for the manager, there was 6 or 7 other families standing expressing disappointment and disgust, his answer was I can't sit for 5 mins and talk I have a meeting, get onto travel agent not my problem. I said people are on inclusive deals here, his answer was il give you money from my pocket if you want me to buy you a drink. DISGRACE, no manner and simply no customer service. Pool looks fab but when you go down by it or into it put steel cap boots on as grids broken around it and tiles would cut the toes off you. Indoor pool filthy dirty Disgusted...poor poor poor operation, should be shut down
