Having passed this place on many occasions whilst walking in the area we promised to stay when just the two of us were taking a break. We have just two nights left of a nine night stay and cannot fault the all round suitability of these apartments. From booking direct with Elsa and arrival to be met by Fernando everything has been first class. The whole place is maintained completely and kept immaculate by the lovely Brazilian lady who cleans every other day. About 10 apartments surround the pool and gardens and are completely enclosed. We have a very large apartment with separate well sized bedroom , lounge with kitchen area and bathroom. A very large private terrace is accessed from the either the lounge or bedroom. It contains a table and chairs and in the grassed area in front you have your own dedicated Sun loungers. Two barbecues are available to cook on. It’s very quiet and peaceful despite being close to the main Vale da Parra road to Albufeira. Could be too quiet for some. The area has sufficient bars restaurants and a large Aldi within walking distance . 30 minutes walk will bring you to stunning beaches at Gale and Salgados. Flor do Vale is an excellent base and well run place by great people who care about their business and customers.

Not that we don't like kids, you understand..... I think the reason is the pool may be dangerous as it's deeper than normal. Good quality self catering accomodation, kept spotlessely clean, in a very quiet location. Great for couples who just want to do their own thing and don't need reception staff 24/7. The Manager, Fernando, is very friendly and helpfull, but once he's settled you in and offered you a welcome drink, you're left alone to enjoy the holiday. Only downside, you'll need a car, or be prepared to walk a distance for a choice of restaurants and bars. 2nd visit, not the last. (Accommodation only booked through Style Holidays UK)

very good, but they now need some upgrade, i have been at the apartment's in 2001 and again this year(2005) and found that the contents of the apartment's have not been replaced ie: sofa,chairs,tv still has the same old problems. no air conditioning.

Booked last minute at local travel agent and travelled with 'Style Holidays'. Appartments were very spacious and clean. Two twin beds in the big bedroom with large wardrobe and pull out bed in lounge (so three of us were comfortable). Plus there was a wardrobe just off the lounge near the bathroom, very handy.
Appartment cleaned daily, additional charge for safety deposit box. Owner very helpful when the toaster didn't work. Appartments also had 3 bbqs to borrow, fab. Ground floor appartment terrace very big and shady, then we had the grass in front to use too. Large comfy sunbeds with cushions. Nice and secure with gate round complex and well looked after gardens. Def need a car; best supermarket 5 min drive.
Trips - took advantage of Rep organised boat trip which took us up the coast and then we had a scrummy BBQ on a private beach.
Would def., go back to Portugal (was our first time) and would go back to these appartments - check out [--] for excellent priced last minute deals

I tried to book this apartment for May 2018 through holiday lettings the price I was offered was £280 I sent my bank details and booked awaiying confirmation can you imagine my disappointment when the owner came back and said sorry the apartment is no longer available at this price it will now be £1011
This is complete misrepresentation and seems a cheap way to get customers lured in.
Please be aware when booking the price you are quoted is the price you actually pay

On reply to this review, we reccomend all guests to check correctly on the website the correct dates + rates + apartment type, to avoid mistakes. We do offer 3 apartments types ( groundfloor apartments, first floor and Two bedroom apartment, at Flor do Vale On this case we did not received this request, so we kindly ask the guests to check with holiday lettings website ( rates) or make a new request. Just back from a 5 day break at Flor Do Vale. Everything was just like the pictures and as previous reviews have said the perfect place for rest and relaxation. You are only a 10 min drive to the centre of Albufiera so easy to access some busier pace of life when it takes your fancy. What really impressed us most was the standard of cleanliness everything was spotless with a maid service 5 days a week and the gardens and pool area regularly maintained to keep everything pristine. Our first time in Portugal, we will return and Flor do Vale is one of the reasons why.

The perfect place to unwind and de stress. So calm and peaceful, set in well groomed gardens these apartments are lovely. Rooms are equipped with all you require to make it your ideal escape. Fernando goes to great lengths to ensure your stay is a memorable one. Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week, with fresh towels daily. There is free wifi, but it does not work too well in the rooms, hence I am writing this sat on the patio. The tv in the room has sky news, but no other UK channels. The pool is on the small side but is clean and cool (once your in it is ok, but getting in can make bits shrivel up and hide!!) Gale beach is minutes away by car. Albufeira 10 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, but a distinct lack of bars with other people in. After a busy day sunbathing, we used the Boca Mole cake and coffee shop to rehydrate with a beer or two. A busy little place, frequented by locals and holiday makers. There is a well stocked supermarket close by, but we used Lidl for supplies. The wine was remarkably cheap and extremely nice! If your kind of holiday is wall to wall entertainment with bars blasting out loud music, this place is not for you. Peace and tranquility rules ok here. This is my second visit to Flor de Vale and it will not be my last.

We have just returned from a week at the Flor Do Vale Apartments. This being our third visit. We had another lovely time and would definitely recommend them.
The Apartments are a converted villa just on the outskirts of Albufeira in a place called Vale de Parra. They are in a quiet area which was ideal for us as we wanted to chill out and relax during the day. I would recommend hiring a car, as we did, so that if you want to go anywhere more lively, then you also have that option. Also the nearest supermarket would be a trek in the hot sun!!
The apartments are advertised as for adults only (over 16) and we booked through Style holidays. I think they would be too quiet and too far out of the resort for teenagers or couples looking for a lively holiday.
Fernando, the owner, is very nice and helpful and the pool area is lovely. The downstairs apartments have a veranda that opens out onto the pool area which is very handy when nipping in to get a cold lager from the fridge!!
As there are only approx.11 apartments, the area is quite intimate and we made friends with a number of other couples while we were there, which resulted in us all pitching in for a barbecue (borrowed from Fernando) on one particular night.
While the apartments themselves are not particularly modern, they are kept clean and are quite spacious for 2.
There are a number of restaurants approx. 5-10 minutes walk away. The Girassol (Sunflower) Restaurant is very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. Also, in nearby Guia the Ramirez serves delicious Chicken Piri Piri at a very reasonable price. We ate in Albufeira (old town) one evening at the Casa de Fonte which was lovely, but a bit more pricey.
For a reasonably priced week away in the sun to relax, it couldn't be faulted!

Just returned from a second visit to Flor Do Vale went October 2006 and it was still as excellent as the first time our friends also thought the same, apartments are kept spotless ,the pool and grounds are beautiful a little oasis in today's hectic lifestyle very peaceful no late night revellers!.Fernando is very welcoming, and there are some lovely restaurants within walking distance-the Sunflower in particular.

From jan 2018 Flor do Vale will have air conditioning on the bedrooms apartments - extra payment. As some of our guests find the apartments no need for air conditioning , we decided to charge just the ones that would like to have and not include on prices. this feature is payable on arrival at reception
