Topazio Vibe Beach Hotel & Apartments is lauded for its ample amenities, such as well-equipped rooms with kitchens and a pool area that invites relaxation. While the vibrant atmosphere and music contribute to a lively stay, some guests have experienced noise disruptions, particularly from the nearby nightclub. The staff, especially reception and bar personnel, receive high praise for their attentive service.
Cleanliness is a standout feature, with the hotel maintaining high standards. Although ideal for a younger, party-seeking demographic due to its energetic vibe, the hotel's location is also appreciated for its convenience to the beach and local attractions.

We got a lovely welcome from Anastazia who was so helpful as it was late at night and we were tired but tbh all the staff we met were friendly & pleasant. Our pleasantly decorated room had a dining table & chairs, safe, coffee machine & a mini bar (chargeable), also digital tv we found bbc world news, old uk quiz shows, fox movies & Nat Geo.
In the bathroom there was a hairdryer, lovely toiletries and soft white towels (with additional soft coloured towels for the pool area - a first for us!), although we didn’t use the pool.
Added bonus is the really good free WiFi throughout which gets the Topazia 5***** because WiFi is a necessity these days.
Breakfast was the usual hotel buffet style lots of choices but little in quantity. We liked what we had but mostly had the fresh orange and the coffee as quantities reduced as the week went in due to them closing (for the winter?).
Turning uphill from reception takes you a 10-15 uphill walk on to The Strip or a 20-25 minute walk downhill towards the Barantha Hotel you’ll find a sign to the nearest beach.
All in all we’d certainly stay again (but in an apartment not a room; we’ve no idea how we made that mistake) and we do wish it was a bit nearer to the action; previously we’ve stayed right on the Strip, or near to the bars in the Old Town :)

We stayed in apartment 45 on the 3rd floor in a seperate block from the main hotel. Good size with a full kitchen, seperate bedroom with twin beds, living room with dining table, 4 chairs, tv and double sofa bed, bathroom with shower. Balconys is long but narrow about a metre with a small table and 2 chairs but great wiew of the gardens and pool. Hotel has a lovely setting with plants, trees and grass areas, really pretty.
The room was basic but very clean, shower flooded the bathroom when used but just put a towel against the bottom of the shower screen and was fine. Really friendly staff and atmosphere, medium sized pool was very cold but once in for a while was ok. Breakfast buffet was excellent, 7.30am until 10.30am, great choice hot and cold.Only 10 minute walk from the strip and main beach, smaller beach 5 minutes away with coastal path to old town(20 min walk). Safe in the room was free as was the wifi, can hire beach towels for 15 euros deposit, returned when towels taken back. Tv had lots of movies and programmes in english best choice ever while on holiday, 24 hour reception.
The bar is open 10am - 8pm, pool open 8am - 8pm, comfortable sunbeds and extra ones available if busy, some umbrellas but not many, padded beds also available around the pool area. If you like a quieter holiday better to go mid September onwards as otherwise they have regular loud music pool parties and full of younger groups, nightclub literally 10 meters from the front of the hotel open 7 nights a week until mid sept then only Thursday, Friday and Saturday midnight until 6am, if in the main hotel may be a noise problem as could just hear it in the apartment/studio block.
Would definately stay here again but only after the main season had quietened down.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for 8 days at Topazio Hotel in May 2022, we had a lovely stay here, and were pleasantly surprised!
The room was a good size, safe, fridge and aircon in the room, there is a coffee machine with 2 free espresso pods and more at an extra cost, however there isn’t a kettle in the room which we were disappointed about but not the end of the world! The room was cleaned every day and there were 2 towels to use for by the pool. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The only slight negative was the shower.. the water pressure wasn’t great!
We were on the 4th floor at the side of the building, we didn’t hear any noise from the nightclub. We did have an issue 2 nights due to noisy neighbours very early hours of the morning however the staff on reception were happy to deal with this ensuring we got a good nights sleep.
We weren’t sure what to expect with breakfast as most reviews I’d seen just mentioned continental, so we were pleasantly surprised to see a choice of hot food too, there was a good selection, eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, pastry’s, meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, cereal.. something for everyone, juices and a coffee machine available too.
The pool area was lovely, we always managed to get a sun lounger, we seen the pool getting cleaned/checked daily which is always a good sight! The pool itself was very cold but you get used to it. The pool bar indoors sold drinks and food from 12pm, the drinks and cocktails were lovely, we didn’t eat at the hotel through the day as it seemed expensive compared to other local restaurants where there was more choice.
They are starting an outside bar and DJ by the pool some days of the week, but it’s not really loud so if that’s not your thing then it won’t effect you really, we personally enjoyed it.
This hotel is perfectly located in my opinion, it is a 5-10 minute walk to the main strip which is where we had lunch and dinner most days so very ideal, there is a supermarket over the road and 2 beaches, a smaller one and bigger one both within an easy walking distance to the hotel.
We walked into the Old Town for the day which was a nice walk to see all of the sights, there are Tuk Tuks everywhere which are handy!
We had a lovely time in Portugal staying at the Topazio Hotel and would definitely come back! The staff were all lovely and made us feel very welcome!

We stayed in one of the bungalows and can definitely recommend the upgrade! We're not huge fans of going in the pool so it was ideal as the bungalows have their own grassed area with your own sun loungers and parasol. We never had breakfast but their was food served through the afternoon to early evening which was lovely. All staff were pleasant and really helpful, the one issue we did have was sorted pretty quickly.
Only 5 minute walk from the main strip, a small beach with a lovely little restaurant is a short walk away too, half of the beach has payable sun loungers and the other half is to use with own parasols and towels. It also has a toilet and life guard. Their is a shop across the road suitable for essentials - food, toiletries, alcohol etc., another shop we didn't go in but sold beach towels, hats, souvenirs etc. A lovely little restaurant opposite which stops serving food at some point through the day and opens again at 6:30pm (might be a time of year thing) and another at the top of the road just as good. Their is also a club over the road which we didn't go to as it's open on weekends but it had a hookah (shisha) lounge which seemed to be open through the week. You can hear noise from the strip of a night but it didn't really bother us. I found Uber was the easiest and cheapest way to get around when going a bit further.
These are only small things that bugged us, but you're not provided with washing up liquid, cloth, sponge or tea towel for cleaning dishes - these are things I'd expect with a kitchenette. A small shelf in the shower would be handy too as you have to keep bending down to pick up what you need.

Booked a very last minute holiday which im glad as i didnt look at the reviews before booking however was alittle concerned after reading some after we booked. However when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised.
Receptionist was very helpful and explained everything in detail, personally took us round to our studio and showed us everything on the way. Nothing was a hassle always helpful and friendly.
Our studio was great, modern, clean and plenty of room. Kitchen was fully equipped even had an ironing board and iron (bonus). Cleaner was in every day with fresh towels, made beds up and mopped the floors.
Hotel itself is situated only a 5min walk away from the beach and strip, which is ideal. There's a shop across the road too. The strip is full of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
You can walk into the old town aswell(30min walk or 10euros in a tuk tuk) This is a lovely part of ALBUFEIRA. More little shops, bars, restaurants and more cultured rather than the new town.
Depends what your looking from your holiday, if your there for the nightlife then its ideal, theres a nightclub straight across the road which is open till 6.30am. This might be a negative if your there for a quiet holiday. We are early risers so although there were some noise around 6.30/6.45am we were up anyway. (Its not too bad though and there are street cleaners out clearing any mess from hlf 7)
Overall lovely hotel excellent location and would defo recommend and return ourselves 👌

We had an amazing stay here, from the moment we arrived the staff were nothing but friendly, approachable and helpful. We had a ground floor superior room (105) which was perfect, and overlooked the side of the hotel, the air con worked really well, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel and hand soap provided in the bathroom, along with proper bath sheets and hand towels. Mini fridge has chargeable items, price list is in the room, but handy to keep other items in, Nespresso coffee machine rather than a kettle but note the first 2 pods are complimentary, you have to buy more either from the hotel or from the local shops. Room safe is also free of charge. The bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms were very clean, the whole hotel is very clean, and smells really good. Breakfast is just outstanding, so much choice its hard to know what to have first, eggs, bacon, sausage etc, cold meats and cheese, pastries, various breads, yogurt, cereal, fruit, various fruit juices, coffee, tea, never saw them run out of anything and plenty of seating inside and out. A big thank you to the wonderful bar staff for their excellent cocktails throughout the day, and are happy to bring them over to you wherever you are around the pool. The pool is lovely, just right to cool down in and can get busy but we always managed to find a spot. We never heard any noise from the club opposite, I can only imagine you would hear it if you get a room at the front of the hotel! The double glazing in room is wonderful and yes you will hear people leaving/returning at various times, it is hotel after all, most nights we didn't hear much at all, ear plugs are also a great invention! We were there to celebrate my husband's 50th and on the day of his birthday the staff left a lovely slice of cake and juice in the room, very sweet touch and most appreciated. Mostly a younger crowd from all over the world, but also older groups like ourselves, and great fun for people watching. Really good location as a base as it's at the top of the hill that heads to the beach, we found walking down and getting a tuk tuk back was ideal for us! If you're heading for the strip it's very close by but far enough away that you don't hear anything, and you also don't have to go down there if it's not for you, as we found! Old town is not far, but uphill if you opt to walk back. We would definitely stay here again when coming back to Albufeira. What an amazing experience, be nice and you'll get nice back, that's the Portuguese way (my husband is Portuguese) 😁

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, considering the reviews it’s had.
We stayed 30th May - 6th June, on ground floor in room 107. We’re in our late 20’s and were prepared for the noisy hotel vibe, however we didn’t hear the club AT ALL. The overall people staying at this hotel are the more younger, party goers. You would feel out of place being an elderly couple.
Room & bathroom were lovely. Lots of space and you don’t feel squished. Aircon was nice too. If you didn’t want your room cleaned, you informed the reception and they would give you a €5 drinks voucher.
Pool, some days were packed with groups. Other days were quiet and could easily get a sun lounger. The beach is only a 3 minute walk down the road/steps. You can walk along the coves of the beach too, just follow the paths.
Breakfast, I wasn’t expecting so much choice for a 3*! Varietys of breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals, juices, fruit, hot food was sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, beans, tomato’s/mushrooms. Choices of delicious coffees from the machines, and even a fresh orange juice machine. Everything replenished and kept topped up. Staff were great.
Location - 5 minutes walk (uphill) to the strip. €10 for a tuktuk into the old town which took 10mins, this takes you to the famous escalators as they’re not allowed down due to them being noisy. Or €4.50 in an Uber to the old town. €10 Uber to the marina which is where all boat/dolphin trips depart from (15mins). Beach is 3 minutes walk downhill and down some steps. Aquashow water park was 30mins in an Uber (€15). Personally, the location was perfect for us. Very central and never travelling too far for things. We even walked back along the beach one evening from the old town which took us maybe 30mins but time flies when your having fun.
TIP - if you want a good steak, best place is ‘Porta7 MFA’ in the old town. Dont be put off by the size of the resturant, yes it’s small and not a rowdy atmosphere like some resturants, but you won’t regret it.

Topazio Hotel. A real topaz with great sparkles and some small flaws. Close to the Strip for those who want to party and a few steps from a small beach (Paria dos Aveiros)
Reception: Pleasant reception by friendly receptionists with some broken English here and there, but they did their best to offer us a nice stay. Had to deal twice with the very unfriendly and blunt head of reception. For example, we were asked in a compelling tone to pay immediately for the taxi back to the airport and only in cash. When we said that we were going to withdraw money in the city, she told us that we should use the ATM outside the hotel (2.5 euros extra per withdrawal so we did not want to do that) because otherwise she would cancel the reservation.
Rooms: Beautiful new and well-maintained rooms with renovated bathroom. The room was made up every day, unless you did not want it, you had to report this to reception for the sake of the ecological aspect. You then received a voucher of 5 euros to use that day at the pool bar. My friend and I luckily had a room at the side of the hotel unlike our friends who had one at the front. This was a painful one because on the other side of the street there is a nightclub that opens from midnight and you can therefore be bothered by the night noise. On the other hand, these rooms did have a double sliding door to block out noise. Swimming pool: Beautiful and well-maintained swimming pool with sufficient sun loungers for which you did not have to fight by placing a towel as in most hotels. Snacks and drinks at the pool bar were not overpriced and not too greasy. Cristina and the two young men behind the counter always had an eye on us and made sure we were pampered by them. Good choice of genuine international choice of spirits and alcoholic drinks.
Some points they can work on:
Luggage room to put your suitcases on arrival because it had to be in a corner of the lobby, accept more payments by card instead of cash because who still has that in their pocket ;-), too bad
that you cannot have a drink at the bar in the evening, more cupboard space because what was currently offered is a bit too little if there are two of you on holiday.
Tips for restaurants: Jardim Rustico at the end of the Strip, Festa da Praia, Italian Republic, O Lusitano, .
Tips for a trip: Faro, Old Town Albufeira, Algarvian Shopping Center in Albufeira, Olhos d'Agua village and Praia Maria Luisa.

Firstly, you get what you pay for.
Secondly albufeira is beautiful so get your walking shoes on and go explore.
There’s a beautiful small local beach only minutes away with a beach bar/restaurant. There are lots of beaches, coves and caves to explore and stunning a one with stone piles everywhere…. That’s a must see.
The strip is great for young and old who like a drink, karaoke and food. Some bars have cheap happy hour too. We found we prefer the old town that was a 25 minute pleasant walk, 10euro in a tuk tuk or 4-7€ for a taxi (they seem to charge what they want even though they are on a meter).
A must see in the old town is the shell bar. It’s beautiful and has a great history you can read about.
The marina it really good too. There’s a bar/restaurant called fat cats that do amazing cheap food and a pint on Sagres only 2.50€.
If you like boats definitely do a trip to the benajil caves.
Anyway back to the hotel. Yes it can be a bit noisy at night (take ear plugs). The breakfast is basic but great variety, gorgeous fruit too. For a half decent coffee get an americano and get milk separate as the auto white coffee already is sweetened.
The rooms were big enough, the minibar stocked but warm. The beds were super comfy with two pillows.
The cleaners where great.
It’s €5 for a pint of sagres but lots of people where going to the shop across the road and buying cold cans for 1.10€.
We loved being round the pool. Great vibe and good music.
All the staff work hard and have to put up with a lot of rude drunken holiday makers. If you are nice to them they are nice right back. We liked all of them. Especially Anne and Anastasia! Anastasia went over and above to make our stay as comfortable as possible, I can’t thank her enough.
So yes we would go back. Yes pay a little extra for a room at the back of the hotel, these are the grey/brown colored rooms, not the orange ones that seem to be at the front of the hotel where the night club is.

My mum and myself visit albufeira every year and try to stay at different accommodations as there are so many to chose from! This hotel is situated in the new town opposite KISS nightclub, which was quiet at the moment due to the season not yet starting, though I imagine it could get quite noisy in the summer months. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything you needed, beds comfortable and great service. The lady on reception (I think she was called Diva but apologies if that's wrong!) was helpful and friendly both upon checking in and checking out. Only downside would be that there is no bar at the hotel in the evening which we would have made use of! Overall though, a pleasant stay and would recommend.
