I booked this hotel going on reviews of others and we were not disappointed. It is indeed a lovely oasis in the heart of Albufeira old town. Very attractive, very clean, very quiet and very comfortable with delicious breakfasts served to the table but plenty to help yourself to at a buffet as well.Although check in and out was done all on line and there is no reception area as such we were met at the gate and shown round by a lovely lady before going to our room where a yummy traditional plate of Portuguese pastries and Portuguese wine welcomed us. Breakfast consisted of a delicious variety of cheeses, charcuterie, jams, fruit, bread, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, smoked salmon and champagne, eggs on request, cereals, milks, nuts and seeds and copious coffee and tea, served on the terrace at a beautifully set table including fresh flowers and crystal glasses.A little more expensive compared to others in the area but so worth the extra, although it is on a par with the cost of 5*prices at home. The outside space is beautiful, so relaxing with a gorgeous infinity pool, plenty of comfortable seating areas including padded sun beds, but never crowded as it’s a smallish hotel and drinks are served to your sun bed from the bar by the very pleasant staff. Treatments available at extra cost and yoga sessions. The only criticism would be the diverse choice of music through the speakers at the pool, most easy listening but some tracks a little hard to listen to lol. The hotel also offer a very efficient personal transfer service to and from the airport which we recommend.
It is just steps away from beaches, restaurants, shops, interesting sites and the tourist train. My husband and I have slight mobility problems which I informed the hotel of before arriving and they put us in a suitable room with only a few sets of steps to climb compared to some of the other rooms and suites which were up and down several steep stone flights of stairs( just due to the age of the original building).
Lovely en-suite with toiletries and ample towels and bathrobes including towels for use at the pool or the beach if desired. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here despite the poor weather ( third week of October) especially as there was so much space in the room including a sofa, dining area and kitchenette including a full size fridge and a range of choice on the huge room tv including Sky, Disney and Netflix. Would definitely return and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

The room, pool, service, and total experience was exemplary. I can not say 1 thing that was not perfect. From the lighting and bathroom in the room to the idyllic pool, the free breakfast is served with Moet Chandon champagne. The beds, loungers and tables around the pool are solid wood of the highest quality and comfort. This is a boutique hotel with just 21 rooms so ultra peaceful, aided by it being adult's only. Perfect for couples romancing.

I booked vila origens just after seeing one review, just after it opened. it was a gamble. The best gamble I’ve ever made. My mum and I made this trip.
Roberto greeted us at reception and gave us the tour. The minute you walk through the gates you just gasp in amazement . It is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are lovely with convinient facilities, fridge, clerked , air conditioning, bathrobes etc. Bed is super comfy and fluffy towels provided and changed every day if you wish . Towels are provided for the pool area also- this is super especially when trying to pack light. The pool area is spectacular with the view of the old town. It is about 2 minutes walk to centre of town- just down the steps and beach so near too. The perfect location .

The breakfast was fabulous, fresh orange juice and a glass of moet chandon champagne every morning . Salmon and cavier rolls, ( I didn’t eat these but my mum said they were delicious) cheese, hams, jams and pastries also. Fruit, nuts , cereals and yoghurt available in main room. Vera brought us our breakfast most mornings with a huge smile on her face. Roberto also cooked scrambled eggs one day which were delicious . During the day drinks, cocktails , fruits and nuts available the whole day.

From the minute we landed at this hotel, every staff member went over and above. Roberto, Vera, Armando and Roy - all so lovely and helpful. Always with a smile on their face.

I enjoyed this so much that on our last day , I booked for my husband and I to return in April.
Can’t wait to return snd will recommend to everyone.

This was one of the most relaxing and beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. The breakfast is to die for, with warm pastries, fresh fruit, cured meats and cheeses along with their freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The pool is also a very good size with plenty of lounge chairs and sun beds to enjoy.

I especially liked that due to this being a boutique hotel and having so few rooms in comparison to others, you will find that the service was very personal, which to me sets this experience apart from other bigger/chain hotels.

The only thing I think needs to be improved is the standard of the clean to the room. There was dust on top of the makeup mirror, the ledges and some of the harder to reach places. I found that there were some cobwebs on the feature wall and corner of the shower, which didn’t seem to get addressed when the room was made up.

Please don’t mistake this with the room being “dirty” as that is certainly not the case as the linen (bedding, towels etc.) were very very clean and fresh. I just think a little more attention to detail in this realm will make guests’ experience even better. :)

I would 100% return and can assure you will not be disappointed if you stay here!

The team are amazing, each and every one of them, from house keeping to front of house. Nothing is too much trouble.

Ana’ Paulo, Vera and Rui’s hospitality was outstanding, along with ‘ALL’ the house keeping team members:

Rui will explain the local area to you on arrival, everything is literally on your door step.

Paulo recommended an amazing Indian restaurant in the new town called the Clay Oven. Taxi fare is around 9 euro each way.

Paulo was amazing, always on hand to take photos if needed, and a really nice member of the team.

On arrival, Portuguese wine and cakes are beautifully presented in your room.

The breakfast is truly amazing, with Moet champagne served as part of your stay, each and everyday. The salmon and caviar appetisers, are amazing.

The hotel only has 23 rooms, adults only.

The house keeping team are like magic elf’s, they seem to know when you are at breakfast, and will go in and completely clean your room ready for your return.

The outside swimming pool is heated, and the beach is less than 5 minutes away.

Just two minutes and you are in the bars and restaurants overlooking the beach. The hotel is in the very heart of old town Albufeira, yet Vila Origens is very peaceful and quiet.

The main wall of the hotel that sits next to the swimming pool, is over 800 years old.

We stayed in the (stunning room suite) with private terrace, a very beautiful and compact room. The sun shines all afternoon on the terrace.

Nice size fridge within the room.

The marina is a 20 minute stroll away, and well worth a visit. You can get all your boat trips from here. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from.

The imagination that has gone into this boutique hotel blows you away. Once the electronic wooden doors open up in front of your eyes, the ambiance you feel is pure magic, like walking into an enchanted oasis of a Disney filled dream.

I would like to recommend one exceptional restaurant, Casa Da Fonte bar and restaurant, if you like steak or fish, then this is the place to go imho. We went three times during our stay, the food is outstanding, the ribeye is cooked beautifully over hot coals, and is as big as your plate.

The restaurant is quite far away, just two minutes walk from Vila Origins :-)

We will never forget this hotel for all the very right reasons.

To the owners of Vila Origens, you have a brilliant amazing team, that did you very proud on each day of our vacation.

We will definitely return.

Totally outstanding:

Vila Origens' entrance is like the gate towards the Garden of Eden. It is a beautiful, brand new hotel that has everything you need. During the day is is a calm and quiet place to relax next to the swimming pool. Due to the fairly limited number of rooms, it is never too busy there. The rooms are spacious and cosy with a big comfortable bed and are equipped with an amazing large rainshower. The hotel is located right in the middle of the old city center of Albufeira. You can reach nearly all important locations within 10 minutes of walking. If you are a beach person, you can reach the beach in less than 2 minutes. Due to the proximity to the city center, it is a little bit noisier outside in the evening (a lot of [live] music playing in the streets), but you barely hear anything once you get inside. Every morning, the breakfast is served fresh and with a big smile by the personnel. They are always there to help and to give recommendations.

All in all, the place is quite magical and difficult to describe. All I can give is a big recommendation to book this place for your stay in Albufeira.

Vila Origens is a truly beautiful and secluded environment in which to spend time, especially outside the main tourist season. The staff are delightful, friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms excellent, breakfasts fabulous, the gorgeous outdoor swimming pool slightly heated and chlorine-free, and the hotel, though 1 to 2 minutes' walk from the main pedestrian street and one of the clean, sunny and safe beaches (the Atlantic was not too cold for comfort even in February), is totally quiet day and night: I was told that karaoke bars operated until 2 am and bothered some others staying elsewhere in this tourist mecca, but Vila Origens was unaffected. I can heartily recommend the health spa and its wonderful managers and instructors too. I gave up plans to stay elsewhere in the Algarve after my initial booking and decided to remain at VO and to take day trips to some other historic places. Albufeira in general is itself a fascinating, historic town and relatively unspoilt, at least in spring and (presumably) autumn. I'm hoping to return one day with some friends..

Just home from a 3 night stay at Vila Origens. If I could give them 6 stars I would. This is hands down the best hotel that we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of nice places over the years. To begin, we arrived at 10am, tired after an overnight flight. Our room was ready for us to check into. Breakfast was still being served and I asked would it be possible for us to grab something to eat. We expected to be charged extra for this and we were not! We were immediately seated at a beautiful table facing the pool and served a huge platter of food with Moet champagne. What a way to start our little break! The staff are the friendliest and most helpful you will meet anywhere. One of them (sorry I cannot remember his name) even made us a breakfast to go when we checked out at 6am for our flight home. The room was beautifully appointed, very comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower. Useful features in the room such as a long wall mirror on a hinge, USB plugs for chanting your devices. There was a bottle of wine and a range of local treats in the room when we arrived. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Saltwater heated pool, jacuzzi on the roof, daybeds…absolute luxury. The bar/restaurant operates to 11pm. There is chilled, room temp and sparkling water available at all times, also tea/coffee. The location is also amazing with the bustling square of old town just down the steps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and like most other reviewers we can’t wait to go back!

Ps one very small negative which was no fault of the hotel, there is a house being renovated next door and it was quite noisy at times, lots of cutting of tiles with saws. We kept our bedroom windows closed and the air con on. It was only during working hours. Hopefully it won’t go on for much longer.

Wow. Vila Origens exceeded my expectations, even with all of the positive reviews. The attention to detail is apparent and immaculate in everything they do and in all design features of the property.
Beautiful, historic building features. Lovely pool and cabanas. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, functional spaces to work or relax, and all amenities needed/expected.
Random note - also a lot of outlets and very convenient. I feel like a lot of hotels lack this and you have to practically move furniture to access them or they are otherwise inconvenient.
Staff is excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. You can tell they care
Highly recommend and I would stay nowhere else if/when I return to Albufeira!

When I booked vila origens it was new to booking.com with zero reviews and comments and it was a gamble for me of everything or nothing but the moment we arrived i realied i have made the best decision for my summer holidays that i could possibly make. The villa is very modern equipped with convinient facilities, fridge, coffee machine, air conditioning etc. The garden and pool is spectacular with the mainc view of albufeira, old town. Which means that the location is very good, shops, restaurant and beaches are withon 2 minutes walk which made our journey even more comfortable.
The breakfast was like in movies, morning with moet chandon champagne and salmon rolls, followed by lovely set of cheese, hams, jams and sweets including pastel de nata which was my favorite. During the day we were offered various cocktails near the pool, fruits and nuts available whole day.
Finally the most imporant for me is always the staff, honetly i dont know all of the names but they are all awsome, very friendly and helpful. Roberto the guy who met us the first day was always thinking for good places to eat, the tall guy i forgot the name, was always complimenting us, saying we are beatiful, our tan is great, we look stunning, the woman serving breakfast was so calm, always smiling saying enjoy every minute. And yes we enjoyed a lot, was worth the money 100%, hope i come back next year. Obrigada all and with you success and futher development.
Ps. I saw some comments about noise at night but guys its albufeira, famous for nightlife, Bachelorette parties and fun, its impossible without music and noise which makes angreat atmoshepere overall.
recommendation from me would be to hang more mirrors either in the room or near the pool since i never knew how i look and also the garden view is very instagrammable❤️
