I've been with my family for a week and I can only say good things about this hotel. I love Portugal and being here in the hotel with the access of 3 beaches was very nice and beautiful. we have been going to this resort for years! and always beautiful the location of the plant a dream! Good location but site in need of upgrade and refit - looking tired. We felt some of communal areas eg around children’s sand pit, activity area and tennis courts needed attention and spruced up. This should be part of the site ongoing maintenance.

Excellent place to relax and unwind with many walks to nature nearby to enjoy. The apartments are in different categories ranging from different prices. The food at the the restaurant onsite is nice and there are nice facilities here to take part in .

Wonderfull place, tasty food and unforgettible holiday. Super climate and I feel very happy by myself here. Near by wonderfull ocean there is a famous Algarve food. Most popular one is Cataplana... you must try every single seafood here.

Amazing complex of well equipped apartments. three beaches within easy walking distance. There is a well stocked shop onsite with a lovely bakery as well as a lovely restaurant. I would not hesitate to recommend this place especially for families

Having stayed here before we knew what we were getting and it didn’t disappoint. A safe, family friendly resort with a good range of facilities including a kids club at no extra cost. The restaurant and bar are good and the shop has all you need if using the self-catering facilities.
Works well both as a destination resort, and as a platform for exploring the Algarve.

A Manager should stay in the apartment for a night and a day to see what its like. There was no view, which was disappointing. And no way of enjoying the sun while in the apartment, even on the patio, which was completely covered, with the additional disadvantage of the drain for the above apartment sticking out blotting out what little sunshine was trying to reach our apartment. But at least it was not miles from the Reception (and pool), unlike the apartment we had had during our previous visit, last year.

It is unfortunate that non-Hapimag members do not do their research, book the resort and than make petty complalnts - no welcome pack, no microwave etc. The resort is in an excellent location, with large rooms and large balconies overlooking the sea. I could go on but the virtues are covered by others. The resort supermarket is good but expensive. However, there is both an Aldi and Lidl (opposite each other) and 10 minutes away by car/taxi - open 7 to 11 every day. Use them for basics. There is a great upmarket supermarket - Apolonia - 2 minutes away by car or a good walk. DO VISIT. They do fantastic hot and cold takeaway food.

I have stayed at 5 Star resorts in Hawaii, Colorado, Bermuda, and Ireland. Hapimag Resort Albufeira is not a 5 Star resort & I am shocked it got this rating.
First, our villa did not have A/C or fans. With the summer heat, it was very difficult to sleep. There was one window in our room but no breeze.
Second, the beds were awful. They are the same type of bed I had at summer camp when I was 10yrs. The sheets are those from a hospital - not a 5 Star resort. The pillows have no life left to them. We asked for extra pillows but they were only slightly better.
Third, the villa had 2 bedrooms but only one full bathroom. I have never stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that only had one full bathroom. The bath & a half had tile the was cracked & broken. Again, not a 5 Star resort.
Fourth, beach access from the resort was hazardous. There is a beach on either side of the beach that has public access & both can be reach by a road or walkway. The beach in front of the resort only has trails & they have been washed out. I am not sure why they didn't put stairs down to the beach. We saw stairs at many of the beaches in Albufeira so it can be done.
Hapimag Resort Albufeira is NOT a 5 star resort so don't be fooled by the rating. Our unit was like a walkout basement & our view was of a bush & sidewalk. It seems only a few units have views of the water.
