Apartment: We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was over two floors. V spacious, bathroom downstairs, both bedrooms upstairs has bathrooms, 4 balconies in total, superb views, air conditioning, overall excellent.
Pool: Big, never too busy, lots of sun loungers and never issue getting one at any time of the day, lifeguard on duty.
Poolside Bar: serves drinks and food all day until 6pm, good quality and cheap.
Staff: very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Spar is 5 min walk away across road in Marina and mini-shop 2 min walk away.
Will take 20-25 mins to walk to old town. Taxi will cost €5-9 depending on time of day.
Marina has bars and restaurants but more life in Old Town.
Negatives: Not enough sun umbrellas, they only have 8 in total. Parts of grass area covered with canopies but sun loungers not allowed on grass and its always sogging wet because they irrigate it each night.
Some apartments privately owned, we were beside one and for 3 nights they partied all night long and we got very little sleep. Security did address it with them but as they were private residents there was little that could be done so be aware.
No vending machines for snacks.

On arrival Cristina was very helpful and took time to explain everything to us. She did also message before which was a nice touch. The apartment itself was spacious and equipped. we didnt use the kitchen really but there was oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There was no washing up liquid or cloth so we didnt use anything as only stayed a few days. we were only given 2 toilet rolls (which the paper was very thin) but again was ok for a few days. the floor wasnt the cleanest and our feet were dirty. the walls were very thin and we could hear everything from the family next door. the pool area is nice and the location is great. It was nice to be in a secure location with access via a keycard. we would stay here again

The orada from the moment i arrived was so good, monica was on the desk and was very welcoming. I had previously emailed to request early check in and was given my apartment right away. The apartment was really spacious and so well equiped, from a washing machine to a coffee machine down to coffee filters. I was also supplied tea towels. It was so colourful, i just loved it. Katrina also worked on the reception and was always smiling and helpful, she recommended i visit st. Raphel beach which i could get to by the free transport. It was so beautiful, and great to be dropped there and collected. The apt is about 15 mins walk to the town and beach but its such a lovely walk along the marina, but the free shuttle will bring you if needed. In fact i met 2 dutch ladies staying and the shuttle brought them to lidl and waited for them! The whole complex is beautiful around the pools. Covid restrictions were in operation which i found very reassuring. Personally i will definately be returning, it was all just wonderful and relaxing, thank you to all.

We weren't sure what to expect when we arrived but blown away by the service the apartment and complex. Lovely and quiet view onto to grass and pool area. Cristina was so helpful and showed us everything we needed and was always available if we needed help or to book anything. Would definitely go again.

We were meant to be in an apartment owned by Orada marina but somehow ended up in a studio apartment owned by Garvetur, a fault of our booking agency. This studio apartment was disgusting, filthy floors, filthy bathroom, cockroaches, corroded locks on front door - absolute fire hazard, old divan beds with sunken mattresses, and no air conditioning. Our air conditioning consisted of a portable fan which was placed on a chair at the foot of the bed. This studio apartment ( G006) on booking.com does not show any photos....I wonder why !! It was very difficult to get in touch with the manager of Garvetur as she was rarely in her rental property agency. Her attitude was appalling to say the least, telling us we'd be sleeping on the street had we arrived after midnight. She finally agreed to clean the apartment but we'd had enough by then and payed Orada Marina to rent one of their apartments, it was 100 times better. An offer of an upgrade was made by Garvetur but we declined due to all the issues and this lady's rudeness. If you're travel agent is booking Orada Marina, make sure its them and not the apartments owned by Garvetur, especially the studio apartment, according to Garvetur, you are not entitled to any air conditioning - just what you need in Portugal!

My wife and I have just returned from 5 days staying at the Orada. On arrival reception staff could not have been more helpful, even due to it being dark showing us to our room. We opened the apartment door and was amazed by the space of a one bedroom apartment. The amenities were great, air con, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker and all bits to go with these. We were on the ground floor and our patio went out onto a lawned area looking over a small toddler pool. The complex itself is unique in colour, however this fits in with the marina and surrounding apartments. Maybe a little dated, however very clean and fully functional. The main swimming pool is gigantic, and I saw the caretaker testing water quality on numerous occasions. We asked about a courtesy room and was shown this enormous shower area just off the pool, 5 shores, 5 toilets, and this was only the gents area.The walk to the Marina takes minutes, then you have access to numerous bars and restaurants which really make you feel welcome, and the food quality, presentation and price was really affordable ( not expensive). A must is Sharkies bar down at the Marina, Chris the owner, and his team are really tentative, and spend time getting to know you. The walk to Alberfura takes around 20minutes, however when you take in all the great views and little bars this then takes a lot longer. We will certainly book the Orada again, I feel for the price we paid for a 4 night, 5 day holiday was great value for money. This place is great for couples and families alike. Can’t wait to go back... well done team Orada.
