Very clean hotel and room, the pool and breakfast buffet is also very hygienic, great staff, very helpful and polite. we stayed for 3 nights and it was definitely worth it. 20m walk to oldtown (bars and restaurants) and a 15m walk to praia de Albufeira. lots of local shops and supermarkets 5m away by foot. overall a very good experience and definitely recommended!
Initially, the kettle was unsafe. The coil had loose metal semi stuck on. I bought washing equipment to try and get rid of it. However, I could not get under the coil. I had let the receiption aware of the issue I had and they replaced it with a brand new kettle at an instance. Furthermore, one of the single beds had sand on the bed sheet which was unpleasant but we told the receptionist "Miguel" who was kindly enough to offer us a clean room to stay for the night whilst ours were being cleaned and offered some additional perks for the inconvenience they had accidentally caused.
Family stayed here. Lovely clean rooms , cleaned daily. Friendly helpful staff and short walk to town centre and beach. Foid in hotel was goid and reasinably priced at poolside. Also handy at present that Covid testing certificate for airport can be obtained at Aqualab , just other side of dual carriageway.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff. Decent location, plenty of space and beds by the pool. Only downsides are no double beds, the air on was very noisy & the music at the pool is same handful of songs blasted on repeat.
Good location, it’s around €2.50 to get to the Old Town and Strip but the hotel is dated and we found it to be unclean. Upon check-in, there was no map of the town given or any recommendations on places to eat and/or get groceries (we were self catered) Cleaners didn’t arrive to “clean” the room until 5pm most days, despite them working from 10am on the rooms next to us, which I could understand if it was high season, but given COVID the hotel is pretty empty. I use the word clean in inverted commas as the towels were not regularly changed, floors were not swept and it just seemed to be a service where they’d just make the beds and replenish the toilet paper if they remembered to. Restaurants and bars are closed in Albufeira on weekends after 3:30pm and this wasn’t communicated to us by the hotel. I understand things change often but I simple heads up would have been nice. Upon checking out we asked if we could have the room for a bit longer as our flight wasn’t until the evening. Again, given that we’re in a global pandemic and the hotel is quiet, I didn’t think this would be an issue. Initially, we were told that we’d have to pay €10 per additional hour but then a colleague told us that we wouldn’t have to pay as again, the hotel is quiet. The initial colleague then came over and refuted those claims and said someone will be checking in. How did it change from being able to pay for additional hours in the room, to now someone checking in to the same room. I know the hotel is probably struggling due to the lack of tourism but the staff need to think of the long term custom. To be quite frank, I’ve had better experiences in hotels rated 2* and so based on my experience I won’t be back, nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone.…
