We had a great stay here. The staff was very friendly and we had a very nice breakfast. The room had everything we needed. There is also a nice little mini mercado with veggy/vegan supplies around the corner and with a very nice owner!
Evora is a very busy, very touristy place, but Hostel Namaste felt like a quiet, peaceful, friendly oasis. The staff - Sofia and Margarida - were extremely kind and helpful, and I felt completely at home there. I will definitely return.
The staff here are lovely. The hostel itself is very centrally located and close to all amenities. I felt very much at home.
The only downsides were that I couldn't sit up in the lower bunk beds ( because they're so low) and the lockers...More
Totally recommended..! what can you expect from a hostel when the saying on the reception wall says 'the best way to travel is to feel. Feel everything in every way' Quiet and calm place, spacious room and kind staff. Would definitely go back. Nice vibes...More
Very nice place, very friendly staff. I had really good time, the only problem was some noise during the night (due to the lock of the doprs), anyway I recommend it.

I suggest that you contact Hostel Namaste directly with regard to your question about having your own room. If I recall correctly, they have a variety of accommodation so this may well be possible, depending of course on their bookings. Most places in Portugal are kid friendly, from my observations (not that I have travelled with kids myself). When I stayed at Hostel Namaste it definitely did not have a party vibe - it was very quiet. I guess it depends to a certain extent on who is staying there at the time - but I doubt that the party vibe is encouraged here.
I hope this helps. The people on duty were incredibly kind and helpful so maybe contact them directly?
Hope you have a great trip.
