Fantastic place, very friendly people, great rooms, house-with-a-story, homey feeling, everything you expect and like in a B&B, but seldom comes all together. La Porte Cochere has it all. La Porte Cochere is a good reason to consider using more B&B above hotels.

We (two couples) were visiting WW1 battlefields and had the good fortune to stay at this wonderful B&B. Katrien and Steve were the best hosts possible. From the moment of arrival, they made us feel welcome, provided so much information and were gracious throughout our stay. The breakfasts were abundant and Katrien offered us sandwiches for one of our days...

From the excellent list of reviews already left it is quite obvious that you probable wont find better in Ypres. My wife and I have just had our second visit, our first two years ago and were most impressed to see that the standard has not slipped at all. Our room was a dream and Breakfast each morning a delight....

This is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. Steven and Katrien are wonderful hosts and could not have made us feel more welcome. Steven also took time to explain the history of the town and his family's work in restoring it after WW1 and in building the Menim Gate - fascinating. From the moment we arrrived, we were...

This is a great find! Very centrally located in Ypres means easy walking distance to everything you will want to visit. Clean large rooms and really nice breakfast. Steven and Katrine are perfect hosts and if you are interested in WW1, Steven has some great stories and places he can recommend you visit, which I did. Would most definitely stay...

This place was just so good when we stayed last year we just had to go back, and we loved it again. Had the 4 poster room on the first floor this time, met with a welcome and a drink from our hosts, who gave us some dinner tips and a map to refresh our memories of Ypres. Lovely destination...

We only stayed for one night (23rd June 2016), but wish it had been more and will definitely return. The greeting from our hosts was really welcoming. They offered us a glass of wine or coffee and we sat in the nice little garden to enjoy it. They also gave us their parking spot on the street. When you walk...

What a fabulous night we had at Stephen and Katrins B&B, wished we could of stayed longer. Welcomed by Stephen with a handshake and a beer, there is so much family history to the house. Our room and bathroom were spotless, a super comfy bed. Lots of information was provided to make out trip to the area really enjoyable. The...

We stayed for four nights in early July. I had researched this place, and thought it couldn't be as good as all the great reviews it receives, but I was wrong, it is! Katrien and Stephen are the most hospitable, welcoming genial hosts, who own and maintain a beautiful historical B&B in the heart of the lovely town of Ypres...
