We had a family room which was more of an apartment, together with our daughter. The furniture was all rather old and worn out but the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was an oddity. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is great. And you can't beat it for location. We parked our car overnight... More

The Koffieboontje is in an old but remodelled building. Expect modern amenities but narrow, twisting halls. The lobby is dull but the service is very friendly and helpful and the price and breakfast buffet were fine. We had no complaints about the room itself, except for the mystery doors and small window. The location can't be beat, right in the... More

I read the previous reviews for this hotel with much surprise. We stayed here recently and really liked it for the price. I assume there must be a very big variation between the different room types. We stayed in a triple room (room 307) on the third floor. I dobagree that the hallways are very narrow, have sloping floors and... More

A group of 38 of us landed to this central location last weekend! We were in rooms of four and six and the hotel had warned us that it was a basic hotel! We were expecting the worst and were delighted with what we found! Comfortable beds and a brilliant breakfast buffet! Hotel was very accommodating with extending late breakfast... More

The Koffieboontje is a cozy, charming property located just a few steps away from Bruges' Grote Markt, the city center. It's a great base from which to explore the city given that most of the places to see are within walking distance. Our room wasn't huge (we did pay for "Small Standard Double Room"), but it was clean and comfortable.

First, we arrived right on time, but the room wasnt ready, so we had to leave and come back in an hour. I had reserved parking there, and it was weird. Its old, with a dirt floor, not much room to maneuver, and smelled strongly of horse urine for $20 a night. But my dad's blind, so I wanted something... More

We booked at the last minute. The hotel is in a great location, the staff are helpful and friendly. Bike rental is really useful. Breakfast is included in the price and OK. Rooms are a bit tired and need more than painting to update them. On the plus side we had a fantastic view of the Bell Tower from our... More

We booked two rooms as a family of four, and only one was ready when we arrived. The reception and outside was shabby and looked half-finished, but thought we'd give it a chance. Our rooms were on the top floor of the annex up a winding dark staircase, tiny with only loft-style windows, more like hostel rooms that a 3... More

Awful rooms, don't book an annex room under any circumstances. This is not a 3 star hotel, it's a less than 1 star hostel . It is the same cost more or less as other hotels which are much nicer, so it is outrageously expensive for what it offers. Great location but thats not enough to compensate for the shabby,... More
