Pros: Great proper farm with additional B&B facilities. All animals and overall feelings are amazing. Easy to find location - just 12 min drive from Bruges centre. The room was nicely decorated and cosy. The toilet and shower were the only concern, as both are in form of semi open space. It is a very quiet and pieceful site. Cons:...

My boyfriend and I stayed for 1 night as everything in the town was full but I'm so glad we did. This place is incredible. The hosts are warm and welcoming, rooms which are actually small cottages are very spacious and comfortable. The bed is heavenly! The (included) breakfast was delish with cheeses, hams, eggs from their chickens, milk from...

It was the second time at this most beautiful bed & breakfast near Bruges. We went to Bruges again because of "Le Plat Pays". You can start the day with a perfect breakfast, relax here, swim in the pool. Even a sauna a hottub is in the garden now. Cycling to Bruges or around the countryside was fabulous. The owners...

We had the most amazing time at Le Plat Pays, I really didn't want to leave! Two nights was not enough time here with Caroline, William and their family (and all of the friendly animals). Beautiful, comfortable room with the most amazing breakfast spread I have ever had, almost everything was handmade and from the farm. We couldn't wait until...

We should have stayed longer. After 2 nights, Caroline and William felt like friends. The rooms were luxurious in size. Ours was a garden view and ......wow! Caroline shared stories of her life on a Belgium farm, raising goals, making cheese, having cows and chickens. The breakfasts consisted of fresh apple juice from their trees, fresh eggs from their hens,...

Caroline and William together with a lots of animals are the perfect hosts for a short or long trip to brugges. Perfect breakfast in an extra room with lots of homemade stuff, a oven in the living room, free parking space and free bikes to visit the city. A lovely farmhouse in a quiet setting. The owners Caroline and William are warm and kind and made our stay wonderful. This is an excellent base to explore Bruges and other towns in the region, or to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Spacious, comfortable rooms with a great view. Excellent breakfast, with most products either made in-house or...

I wish I had been able to stay here longer. This was the perfect place for us to stay with my 3 year old and Bruges is a short car drive away. We stayed in one of the family rooms; the beds were very comfy, all the facilities were clean and the room was very spacey. My daughter stayed on...

My children and I loved our few days here. It's a beautiful house, in lovely surroundings with gorgeous split level bedrooms. And everywhere is so clean. Caroline and William couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We particularly loved the breakfasts with organic produce, either from the farm or locally sourced. We borrowed bikes and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to 'Le Plat Pays'. We offer you a B&B in a peaceful surrounding, close to nature and stone's throw away from the historic city of Bruges. 'Le Plat Pays' is located in the countryside in Moerbrugge, a borough of Oostkamp, on the edge of the nature reserve 'the Assebroekse meersen'. The city of Bruges is close (5 km) and is accessible via a nice quiet bike path. Also our B&B lies along a cyclingroute (Beverhoutsroute). Our B&B is part of a charming cottage-style farmhouse with large garden and swimming pond. The farm is an active small project, focused on domestic production with respect for animals and nature and includes a large orchard with various fruits, trees and berries. Of course we also have numerous animals like Jersey cows, Nubian goats, chickens, ducks and horses. ... more   less
