If you want a quiet, private, small B&B then this is the place for you. This was our first time in Bruges and the welcome we received from Hans was perfect. He gave a quick summary of the best bits in the town, the easiest way to get into the town centre and spoke perfect English! Location is about a...

Professional and warm welcome by the owner. Many valuable information regarding sight-seeing and dining. Room, bed and bathroom for a few days perfect. Breakfast with fresh bakery and excellent coffee. Will recommend this hotel and will return soon.

This private house on the outskirts of the delightful city of Bruges was perfect for our four night stay. Assebroek is a suburb about a 15 minute walk from the gate of the old town, and about ten minutes further on to the Markt and central areas. The gasthof has six letting rooms, all nicely furnished and bright and airy....

My partner and I recently stayed at Gathof Groenhove, having booked specifically for the location, i.e. outside of centre and free parking; we'd heard the rumours that parking in the centre of Bruges is problematic. The B&B was a beautifully restored house and our room (1st Floor) was very large with a view of the front garden. The room was...

Decided to go to Bruges for my girl friends birthday and booked the B&B over the internet. We caught the Euro Tunnel train at about 06:50 and was therefore off and driving on the continent before 08:00 UK time. A beautiful drive up to Bruges, cloudless skies with the hood down and driving at a sedate speed we were in...

My partner and I arrived very early, but that was no problem. We parked the car, checked-in, and the owner gave us some information and tips on what to see in town. We were given the key to our room and the code to the house so we could get in whenever we wanted. It is a few minutes walk...

Nice house in a lovely garden a few ks outside Bruges. Great indian restaurant around the corner. Good breakfast, hepful host, clean, if slightly small, room, but some plumbing problems which may well be endemic. Location was not ideal, as others have noted. Being a tourist in Bruges requires lots of energy and the walk to and from town was...

We got to the B&B late due to traffic problems on the UK side of the journey. We phoned the owner as soon as we got out of the tunnel to let him know our arrival time. All he did was complain. The breakfast next morning was sparse to say the least. We asked if the was any more selection...

After taking the Dover to Calais ferry we drove to this guesthouse, it only took approx 1.5hrs. On arrival the exterior of the building lookeda little old fashioned but inside it was homely and welcoming. The owner, Hans was very helpful and spoke perfect English. Our room was spacious and had all that we needed, the only downside was the...

Our stay was very nice. The building is very welcoming, secure parking. Hans was a very helpful and gracious host. The room was average, clean but a little small, no hair dryer, but we didn't ask at reception if there was one available. The walk was nice into Brugges center; however, at the end of a long day with lots...
