Excellent room 102, price was excellent from booking.com, posh toilets leading onto the terrace can't understand previous negative comment unless they have been updated. Food amazing, best breakfast ever. Incredible bar. Best tea time ever. Better than the ritz in Berlin or mandarín Barcelona or NYC. Is a really boutique hotel. Charming and small. Is perfect for a special time in Brugge.

Arrived back from a short trip to Bruges yesterday. We had a lovely room in the Hotel de Orangerie, the staff are brilliant and very helpful, the rooms are comfortable clean and very well furnished, breakfast is very good. The air conditioning was very welcome as it was 32 degrees when we arrived. Well worth paying the bit extra for.

When it comes to hotels I like to be in or close to the historical center and this does not disappoint. It was close yet still quiet. The breakfast although a little pricey cannot be missed. Sumptuous rooms

A small and individual hotel where luxury and taste meet. The location of the hotel is rightin the center of the city. We travelled with our twin babies and got 2 baby cods for free and everyone was friendly

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
De Orangerie Hotel is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics (Braquenié, Pierre Frey, Bennison, Ralph Lauren), antiques, and objets d'art. All of the 20 graciously proportioned bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques, and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant lounge along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. The winter garden lounge with its views on the “trompe l’oeil” Italian gardens is a haven of rest and tranquillity in fresh white and light-greyish colours. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy lounge. ... more   less
