Gaby was a warm, wonderful, and gracious host. She provided fresh bread for breakfast, homemade marmalade, and a well-stocked mini-fridge. The attic room was perfect for our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 children ages 8 & 3) and the location was very, very central/convenient. Her advice on parking was spot-on (Tichelrei near Sint-Lucas Ziekenhuis instead of Vrijdagmarkt) and saved... More

This is an enchanting B&B right smack in the center of Ghent across from Drakensteen. The hostess, Gaby, is an artist who has her atelier on the ground floor, her own home on the second floor and two B&B rooms on the second floor. We stayed in the bigger room with 3 people but it sleeps 6 because it has... More

Great Central stay for us, 5 friends. Room is in the attic and sort of split level which made it very spacious and comfortable. It is a little dated but had everything we need, including good beds. Prices are very reasonable. Breakfast in the room. Lots of choice, incl eggs that you can make yourself in the little kitchenette. Personally... More

This B&B is perfectly located and provides for everything you can possibly require during your short stay in Gent. Ample choice of restaurants ranging from pretty good to excellent, all at walking distance. There also is a cute little garden and the rooms themselves are fine and completely furnished. It was great staying for a couple of nights in such... More

The location of the B&B is perfect, just a few steps from all the activities. The Blue room is very spacious. To bad that the rooms are not sound proof at all, you can hear every word that is spoken outside your room, that doesn't give you a feeling of privacy. I didn't mind to eat breakfast in my room... Located on the top floor of an artist's gorgeous home, At Genesis is a beautiful, well-kept, clean, and wonderfully unique B&B. It is located in the heart of the quintessentially-European Patershol district, an idyllic neighborhood full of quiet old streets, friendly artists and artisans, galleries and storefronts laced with vines, and delicious cafes and restaurants. Thankfully the B&B is nestled... More

Great B&B centrally located in the heart of Gent. Spacious, simple, but cosy rooms. Very flexible hostess regarding check-in and check-out times. 2 minute walk from a underground parking place (Vrijdagmarkt)

“Although the Blue Room faces the street, there is only some minor foot traffic or an occasional vehicle, and the view is really quaint. I found the room sunny and pleasant.”
