We stayed at the top floor Phara suite in November 2016 and absolutely fell in love with Ghent and the Waterzooi residence! The food was out of this world, amazing menu changing everyday. Kai, the host and owner, p cooked home made pies, made mocktails, explained local cheeses, mustard sauces and spoilt us with delicacies and choice!! Amazing beds, comfortable...

We had a fabulous couple of nights here. Christian and Kay are accomplished hosts and it really shows in all the little touches, the beautiful furnishings and the gorgeous breakfast. It's so lovely when people have obviously thought of ways to make life comfortable and easy for guests, instead of ways to cut corners. The location is unbeatable, and the...

We stayed in the Waterzooi Lodge which is literally across the square from the main B&B. Really easy to find, and the tram from the main stations stops outside. We stayed for a weekend in November, the weather was so so, but the apartment was warm and welcoming. The apartment is a sympathetic architecturally designed refurbishment of an old building...

What a wonderful experience we had at this amazing B&B! The hosts, Christian and Kay, were warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Kay was so gracious and helpful to us from the minute we arrived! We showed up at her door flustered and stressed from driving thru pedestrian zones and circumnavigating all the road construction in...

We spent several days here in September and the other reviewers are not exaggerating - this is an exquisite B&B, beautiful in design, with attention paid to every detail. The owner is an interior designer and artist, and every room is just gorgeous. It is spotlessly clean and perfectly located. The bedroom faces the garden and is cozy & quiet,...

This lovely B&B is perfect in every respect. Christian and Kay are charming and helpful hosts and gave us lots of useful information about what to do and see during our stay in Ghent. We chose the Felix suite on the second floor which was wonderful, with a large sitting area overlooking the square and Ravensteen castle and a separate...

We stayed one night in one of the suites. First impression of the owners were fantastic! Polite, smiling, helpful and VERY service minded. The suite we had was absolutely gorgeous! The room can't be described. It needs to be experienced. You can't find more comfortable and luxurious place to stay so close to the city center.

Cannot find one fault at this place. Location is perfect, owners are amazing, decor and space is perfect. If you come to Ghent, this is the place to stay. View of the castle from our lounge and an amazing terrace. Coolest B & B I've ever stayed at, possibly best hotel I've ever stayed at. Coolest part of the trip...

My glowing report of the B&B Waterzooi adds little to what has already been said in previous reviews. We stayed in the 2nd floor Felix Suite at B&B Waterzooi in May 2016 for five nights, and I am already dreaming of going back. Ghent is an historic and charming, yet sophisticated, city with a youthful energy. It’s got everything from...

Found the bed and breakfast set in a square with many bars and restaurants, opposite the castle. Sat outside and dined in the square which was particularly pleasant. The room - or should I say rooms and balcony - superb! Spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Lounge had a backdrop of the castle and the square ... big smile. The...
