The Romantik Hotel Le Val d'Ambleve is in the heart of the Liege Ardennes in the town of Stavelot. Blending in perfectly with the landscape, this hotel subtly blends modern and traditional architecture. A personalized welcome, a warm ambiance, a cozy comfort, and a fine cuisine are its trademark. The Val d'Ambleve has 24 tastefully decorated rooms. The colors are warm and the materials rich. They offer all the modern amenities: a flat screen television, a bath and/or shower, a hair dryer, etc. Four rooms, including our 'suite,' are located in the main building along with our two meeting rooms. Fourteen other rooms are in a residence 25 meters from the main building. This building, fully renovated four years ago, has a sauna and a steam room, and is on the same site as the main building. We offer our customers the possibility of choosing among various packages for one or more nights, for the weekend, or for the week. The Val d'Ambleve is ideal for either business or pleasure, and neither is incompatible with the other.

This was a real find and in mid August and very hot, it was lovely to sit on the shaded terrace for drinks before dinner. We went as a party of 16 car nuts and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had 2 delicious dinners in the restaurant where the food was so beautifully presented, original dishes all very well executed. We had a large fan in our very large bedroom, with a large bed, which was all very comfortable. A super stay in a lovely hotel.

Stayed here for one night en route back home. Aside from the busy(ish) road, this is a great place to stay. Rooms quite modern, comfortable and well equipped to a very good standard. The patio and gardens are great for pre dinner drinks and canapés, weather permitting (which it was). The dining room is great and striking in its design, then comes the food which we could not fault (nor did we try to!). A great base for touring and within easy reach of the circuit (but beware it gets pre booked a long way in advance). Finally has secure, off road parking.

We arrived after a long hike in the surrounding nature. The reception was very friendly and the receptionist guided us to our room, which was located in a separate building from the restaurant. The room was spacious and very clean. There was a bath and a small balcony. In addition, the hotel had a very nice sauna. Breakfast was basic, but very good and in a stunning restaurant. I recommend the hotel.

Really charming hotel with beautiful touches and attention to detail with a warm, personable approach from the moment we arrived. Nicely designed with very comfortable room. Really lovely terrace leading to the garden, for drinks and dinner on a summers evening. Would 100% stay here if we return.

In the heart of the Ardennes, just outside Stavelot lies, upwards from the street level, the 'Romantik Hotel Le Val d'Amblève', a hotel with 24 rooms, a restaurant, 2 meeting rooms, a sauna, hammam and a panoramic roof terrace with a view of the valley of the Ambleve. The original country house, annex restaurant and 2 meeting rooms, accommodates 3 rooms and 1 suite, the other 14 are located in a building opposite the house, together with a sauna and haman. Each room has a bath/shower and toilet, HD television, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. The villa 'Le jardin des Princes' 300m down the road, offers an additional 6 rooms and a lounge on the 2nd floor where guests can enjoy a coffee, tea or a book as they wish. The restaurant (also the breakfast room) with its adjacent, spacious terrace has an intimate, warm and stylish decor, which promotes the casual atmosphere. If you prefer, you can enjoy your pre-dinner drinks in one of the lounges. Large windows provide sufficient light all year round and during the summer months they open, so the inside reaturant and outdoors terrace join together. The shaded terrace is ideal to have breakfast or to enjoy drinks, to have lunch or dinner, in good company on a warm summer evening. The restaurant kitchen is classic French in characteristics, using only fresh, regional products served as light dishes and specialities of the region. Whatever the choice, lunch, à la carte, a menu choice (Romantik, Gourmand or Degustation) or the 4-course menu Soiré, it all makes anyone's stay into a wonderful experience. Larger groups, up to 120 people, are also welcome for private events or business meetings. For those arriving by car, there is free parking space on the hotel grounds. Dogs are allowed to stay, there will be a surcharge of € 15 per night.

Nicely decorated hotel surrounded by a big garden, the environment is very  pleasant. Big room, comfortable bed, free bottle of water in the room. Good  breakfast. Free parking available. Pets are allowed in the hotel. Possibility to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Next to the main road, it is impossible to keep the window open (day or night) because of the noise made by the heavy traffic. So if you are looking for a calm place  and you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. The hotel provides  earplugs which says a lot about the noise. The covid measures are not entirely respected. The cleaning ladies were not  wearing a mask inside the hotel. Also at breakfast there was a table of 10 people although the rules say max 8 (unless a big family which was not the case).

We travelled with our little (26m old..) and had a nice vacation with thoughtful owners and staffs. They tried their best to assist their clients once the clients could clearly describe their special needs, and we would like to come back for the next holiday. For me, the real value of 4 stars (and above..)hotel is from the thoughtful service, and they certainly realize it.

Nice hotel in Stavelot, Blue Ardennes and relatively close to SPA F1 gates Combes and Blanchimont. Means you’ll be able to bike to the track gates. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel with spacious rooms and bathroom. The hotel has a sauna and hamam (steam room) with an indoor and outdoor rest area overseeing the valley. Breakfast comes with champaign and nice delicacies. Friendly service in French, German, Flemish. Good hotel if you visit F1 or for a romantic getaway in The Ardennes.

We stayed here for a weekend back in March. Booked the suite in the main house. Nice room spacious but mattress not very good. Food was very good we had almost all our meals there and we enjoyed it a lot. The big issue is that On the first morning we had no hot water no proper explanation given or assistance. This is where they missed the ball for me hot water is essential and even if i understand it was probably behind their control the minimum in hospitality is to face the guest and do something even small as a gesture of goodwill. Here nothing not even an apology from the management .

This hotel is very charming - beautiful interior and very friendly service. We ate at the restaurant on the Saturday night - 4 course chef's menu - which was simply superb. Absolute top quality food. The service between meals was a bit slow, and the portion sizes were quite big (it was difficult to finish it all), but other than that it was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. The breakfast was also delicious - big selection of delicious food (including champagne which was a great treat!). I think that it's useful to note that there are technically three different parts to the hotel - the actual building where there is reception and restaurant (I think there are about 4 rooms in this section). There is then a separate building which houses the majority of room plus the sauna and steam bath; and then there is a third building known as the Villa which is about 300 metres from the property. I stayed in the second building, and I have to admit that my room was not very inspiring (quite small and plain) and I could hear the cars from the main road which impeded my sleep. If you are a light sleeper, then it is be good to be aware of this. My partner is a heavy sleeper and it did not bother him. I was expecting the property to be a bit more remote (with more of an 'estate vibe'), so it was a bit unfortunate that we were located so close to a main road. If the cars from the main road did not affect my sleep, and if the rooms were a bit nicer, I would have given this hotel 5 stars. It is entirely possible that a different room might've given me a better experience so it is definitely worth enquiring about this if you are looking at staying here. Overall, top quality hotel with a highly recommended restaurant!!
