the hotel was ok because of how close it was to the airport but the transfer fee of 15euros each way make it an expensive choice. The rooms are very small and not clean. The staff and breakfast were fine.

We arrived at hotel de la basse sambre to a friendly, very helpful man. Rooms are basic but for liveable. Walls are very thin me and my friend could hear everything next door. Hotel is only 10-15 mins away from airport and is only a 10 min walk to ville2 which is a shopping centre. Have a 24 hour food...

Cheap and old hostel to overnight. Small rooms, no sound insulation between rooms, dirty surrounding, basic breakfast. But friendly staff and low prices comparing with another hostels nearby. Recommended to go by car there.

Our flight was delayed by 9 hours. I arrived at Charleroi Airport at 2 AM. Having small child we decided to stay at a hotel until morning and it was only then that I found one room. What shock, what a disappointment! ... receptionist was polite, but the place looks like in the wild west movies ... like another planet...

At first we waited for the airport shuttle service for one hour. After one hour we took available taxi from the front of airport what was more expensive as the shuttle service from the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel - administrator gives us room 102. We booked non smoking room. But we did not slept there at all,...

I so wish I had read the reviews on here before I booked. :( This is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed at. 1. The room was very dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned, there was some substance in the shower (I really don't want to know what it was but I can imagine). 2. It was LOUD!...

We spent here one night only (we used Charleroi airport for transfer), but it was perfect for such a cheap price (~48 EUR for 2 persons per night, including breakfast). Staff is very kind and helpful, free wifi is available in the rooms, and simple food (for lunch or dinner) can be purchased (pizza/lasagne + dessert + drink (soft drink,...

I tell you. This hotel is quite puritan, but compared to other similar hotels, staff and service are first class. For lunch and dinner, one menu is offered: pizza (Margherite, 4-cheese, tuna) or lasagne + dessert + drink (beer or wine or soft drink) for 9 EUR. Buffet-breakfast is like in any other 3-star hotel (bread, butter, ham, cheese, jam,...

This hotel is OK for a single night visit and I stayed for 4 nights. My room smelled of the sewers and this seems to be a random 'feature' as the room next door did not. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were stuffed with small cubes of foam and not good. The reception staff were friendly and helpful....
