I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room and en-suite shower and toilet were so clean when I entered the room. I also liked that there was a power socket and light near every bunk bed, even on the top bunk. This allowed me to charge my phone while lying on the bed. I also really enjoyed the breakfast....

Me and my friend went to the Hostel Bruegel (Bruegel Youth Hostel) for the last week of January 2017. But one of the days we just wake up suddenly by a terrible noise just NEXT TO OUR ROOM!! They were doing building works!! Starting at 6.30 a.m.!! We went to the desktop to claim, but they said they couldn't stop...

Staff were very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Our room was perfectly acceptable, plain but clean so exactly what we were looking for. Wifi doesn't always work in the rooms. Location is quite good as it's quite close to Grand Place and Central Station. Would recommend staying here :)

Awful cold thanks to this hostel!!! Not able to work for a week!!! Due to renovations they make you sleep without heating... after asking about it you get another blanket. That is no use at all if it is below 10 degrees Celsius (I believe it got down to 4..) For me it is unacceptable that they try to cover...

WIFI in all floors, good breakfast, clean place and really kind staff. Located in city centre, close to Kapelle Church and to Kapelle or Centraal station is a really good value to stay in Brussels. Free maps and you can only rent a bike

One of the reason other guests have mentioned it is like a prison is the fixtures in the rooms, vandal proof bed lamp and fixed spray type shower heads add to the impression of a place used by less popular people and makes you think what exactly is so bad as to make guests angry at the rooms. Of course...

Although we were in a good area, a tram station was close and were even close to the Grand place, the rooms looked like prison cells, The bathroom was quite clean and spacious with your own shower and sink but no toilet. The shared toilets were always kept clean. The best part was the bar downstairs which was like a...

I spent only one night in Brussels Bruegel hostel but I would definetely go back. I made a mistake with my booking and they changed it once I arrived at the hostel for free. I also had to leave before 7.00am, which is when they start at the reception so they explained me how to check out without them and...

The rooms are normal, and they have a shower (2 p bedroom). There's a comfy chilling area. They have night keys so you can come at any time (deposit is 20 euros cash!) and reception is open early. Breakfast included. Good place overall!

Do not stay in this hostel for any reason ! It was chaotic, the staff has 0 competence, there wasn't cold water, the temperature in the room is like in a fridge and the wifi doesn't work! Even worse, once I just asked to the reception a good place for eating and the guy didn't want to answer me because...
