My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night in late June. The location is very good (literally outside the Ste Catherine tube station) and a 10-minute walk to the Grand Place. Once the building work has been completed in the square outside the setting would be even better. On arriving we'd been upgraded to a better room - Marrakesh...

Me & my other half stayed at the Welcome Hotel and loved it. We stayed in the Silk room suite and it ticked all the boxes. The room was really clean, the bed was huge! We really couldn't have asked for more. The Breakfast had an excellent choice of both hot and cold buffet and the location of the hotel...

We selected the Welcome based on the stellar reviews here and in Frommers -- the excellent comments were entirely justified. For our first 2 nights we stayed in the "China" room (the owner has collected wonderful antiquities from his travels and has decorated each room in the theme of different exotic places). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathroom...

I chose the Welcome mainly because of the location, but also because of the overwhelming recommendations about its friendly staff and charming atmosphere Maybe I was expecting too much, but I didn't find the staff anything out of the ordinary - in fact, I had to try quite hard to get their attention to get a recommendation for somewhere to...

A very thoughtful hotel! From the cute (albeit kitsch) rooms to the very complete breakfast (five kinds of butter/margarine, they really tried to think of everything) you can tell the owners put a lot of care into this hotel's presentaion. The other reviews are right on the money, however, one very important thing keeps me from rating the Welcome hotel...

We stayed at the Hotel Welcome for 3 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly! We stayed in the China room which had a large room with king bed and a loft with 2 twins and a tv. This is a perfect set up for a family with older kids who need a bit of time to unwind at the end of...

We stayed 3 nights in the "Silk Road" suite. (We originally tried to book a somewhat cheaper room, but this was a reasonable second choice.) This suite faces the street, but we had no problem with noise. It's quite large -- the bathroom alone is larger than some of the entire hotel rooms we've stayed in elsewhere in Europe. The...

We stayed at the Welcome Hotel over Easter Weekend. The hotel is in a very convenient location, a few blocks from Grand Place and walkable to many other tourist sites. The room was very large, comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful with information on where to eat, directions to many places of interest, metro/train stops, etc. The...

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Welcome in March. We were very much looking forward to Welcome as we had read so much about its quirky style and friendly staff. We arrived around 12:30, and even though our room wasn’t ready yet the front desk made sure that it got finished right away. While we were...

My husband and I stayed at the Welcome Hotel for six nights. We loved it. We stayed in the Egypt room, which was on the 3rd floor and had a view of the square. The room was huge. We were picked up at the airport by the owner, who also gave us one of our favorite restaurant suggestions, La Villette....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated at the heart of Brussels in the subway saint-Catherine, at 6 mn walking distance of the famous Grand Place. The hotel, at the same time atypical and welcoming, offers a real world tour because its 14 rooms with shower or balneo bath and its 2 SUITES with double Jacuzzi are decorated in the style of a different country with authentic objects brought back of the journeys of the owners, others were offered to them by customers. Rooms offer a real comfort with WiFi connection and certain air-conditioning. It is the magic place which will make you dream. ... more   less
