The room was big, clean and quiet - it's old style with wall-to-wall carpet in the bedroom. The breakfast was great, and the location is really good as well. The mini bar was free (with the basics - water, coke and beer), which was very convenient.

The Metropole is a magnificent place. Few hotels can match the elegance and beauty of the decor, which had been lovingly restored. The staff are wonderfully helpful. The car parking valet, and the front desk staff were most helpful. The room are well-appointed, large, with very grand bathrooms and extremely comfortable beds. The decoration of our room was perfect, totally...

We have stayed here many times on our beer/shopping trips to Brussels from Scotland and over the years there are certain things that have happened. 1) The fabulous reception halls have been re-exposed to their art nouveau glory. They had been painted and plastered over many years ago and forgotten about. It was only when someone poked a hole in...

Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are great. It feels great to have a spacious and comfortable room with a desk and armchairs... This is a safe, nice place to stay with good service and a great location with a metro station just a few meters away. In spite of its "heavy" decor the Hotel has a good ambiance , polite...

This was a surprise trip and, yes, we stayed in a suite, so I am a little biased... However, I got to see a couple of other rooms briefly and can assure you that the refurbished Metropole certainly lives up to the Fin-de-Siècle glamour of its much-admired public areas. Furnishings are full-on glam deluxe. Swags, tassels and fringes everywhere! But...

The varied reviews left us a bit apprehensive about staying here, but we needn't have been. Unless you're totally turned off by fussy belle époque decor, this is a fine place to stay in Brussels. Our room, 509, was spotless, spacious, and well-maintained. The soundproofing windows do their job well in this siren-addicted city, unless, of course, you insist on...

As has been said by so many other reviewers the public areas of the hotel are amazing. Our room,6059, was large but all the scuffed and cracked paintwork needed refreshing and the state of the furniture was very shabby indeed. The doorframe in the bathroom had rotted away and the toilet bowl was stained. That is not 5 star by...

Nice and cosy hotel. They say it's a 5 star, but if you compared it to any other 5 star hotels, I don't think it's worth to be 5 stars. However, taking into account how much it costs for one night and with breakfast - it was very good. You can walk to the centre and main attractions within 10-15...

An old world hotel, magnificent building, incedible decor, right in the middle of Brussels. Walk anywhere in the city. Parking can be a problem, tip the doorman who will park (for free) in front of the hotel, on the roadside, or $25 per day in the multi storey on the next block. The service can be a bit French, but...
