Lovely hotel built in an old church. Rooms are unbelievable with lovely stained glass windows. Stayed in a room on the second floor with a jet bath. Rooms were very spacious. Staff from check in to checkout were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good. Wide range of drinks in the bar.

First of all when you arrive ,you've got the feeling to be in an old church which is already unique for an hotel! Afterward there is a great service and organization, everything is clean an adapted for COVID. But when you arrive in your bedroom WOUAA ! the stained glasses. the first time we went in a "Great Double" and the last one was "Exceptional Double" We walk in the city realy very very clean, we visit the Cathedral and other churchs ,went to the Grote Mart. We already went twice there but we certainly go more !!!!!

Good: - Location - Thematization - Almost all staf is very friendly Bad: - Some furniture doesn’t match the floorplan well, which resulted in our room feeling more crampted than could have been - Bathroom is not up to standards for a 4 star hotel (no separate shower, in-bath shower very average and strange design decisions), out of theme and a bit worn out - Small parking and no reservation possible Due to Covid we had to move our stay to another date. The staf was very helpful in making this happen, but forgot that we’d booked an upgrade from a Charming to a Great room. When we arrived, there were no more spare Great rooms. Not a big deal, but a bit unpleasant.

Thank you for leaving a review! You're right, we do have a very friendly staff! Thank you for your detailed feedback, it allows us to improve our quality. We are planning some renovations such as replacing some of the furniture and painting. I will also review and optimize each layout if necessary. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding regarding your upgrade, I can imagine that this was indeed a bit unpleasant. Hopefully, we'll see you again in the future, if you copy this mail I'll personally make sure everything is in tip-top shape! Kind regards, Emilie

I booked a night here for my husband’s birthday, we were kindly upgraded and had a terrific time. The staff were friendly and efficient and although during COVID-19 regulations we still felt safe. I would highly recommend staying here for a special celebration. Mechelen is a charming place with lots to do and see.

This is an amazing hotel! It's in the center of Mechelen, a short walk from the Vismarkt, the Cathedral and the Grote Markt, and about a 15 min walk from the train station. The staff are fantastic and there are very good COVID measures in place. The hotel is an old converted church, and the architecture is fabulous! We were lucky to get upgraded to the "Best of Home" suite (thank you!) where you can really appreciate the architecture of the old church and the beautiful stained glass windows. It was a well-designed and decorated room with a super-comfortable bed. Also a coffee-maker, fridge and safe for valuables. Good breakfast in the atrium of the old church. Breakfast slots of 1 hour are booked at check-in to make sure there is no overcrowding. We were offered a glass of sparkling wine on arriving! COVID means that there are some limitations, but there were still portions of smoked salmon and cheese, a nice range of bread and pastries, and some hot food. There is also a nice bar if you want to enjoy a drink in the evening. Definitely a fabulous hotel and would love to come back.
