Detailed Reviews
First impressions: nice, small, clean hotel. You have to walk through the restaurant when you check in but after check you will be given a key card which gives you access through the back door. We had a City Suite, the room was quite spacious. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the rooms but it's not bad at all.. We did not have robes in out room as stated on the website, I asked and was told they MIGHT be there the following day apparently there was an issue with laundry they said.
Bathroom is a good size, make sure you bring your own soap etc cause the ones in the bathroom are big tubs of re-fillable liquid, not small ones that you can use and dispose of.
There IS loud music from the bar but we knew this from other reviews so it did not bother us much. If you are a light sleeper, book a different hotel, it is loud enough to interrupt sleep.
The morning after the first night we left the hotel and placed our card outside requesting the room to be cleaned and unfortunately after a long day out we returned and found the room had NOT been cleaned, no fresh towels, no robes, rubbish bin not emptied. The room had not been touched. I went upstairs to talk to someone about it but the young man in the office advised that no one was available until the next day. Not sure why our room was the only one not cleaned or why we were being treated differently, one can speculate. When we left the hotel the cleaner was literally cleaning the room next to ours with the door open. The young boy we spoke to that night was as helpful as he could be I suppose and he gave us new towels, robes and told us the room would be cleaned the next morning. Which was no good to us as we were leaving the next morning. I asked if we could be swapped to a clean room that night and he said they had none available, but there was a sign downstairs outside the hotel advertising vacant rooms for the night.
Anyway, I sent an email to management and told them all the issues we'd had with our stay and they offered compensation of €25, which 3 weeks later has not been paid.
All in all, the room itself is probably worth 4 stars, the customer service was a bit of a let down.

+1
Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights in one of the loft suites. From the minute we entered I loved it. The bath was amazing! The room was beautiful. The staff were so friendly and spoke really good English. The room includes a TV which has a couple of BBC English channels on which is great. There is WiFi which is good. The bed was really comfy and roomy. They also have climate control in the room which is good. There’s access to free tea and coffee outside of your room too. The breakfast basket was lovely, it gets out outside your room at 7.30am for you to collect when you are ready too, it was lovely and had a verity inside.
Zaandam was a lovely village with some great shops including primark, Zara and others. Lots of places to eat. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away which can take you to many places like to the airport and central Amsterdam.
I would of liked to have a fridge in the room to keep my drinks cold but it’s not an issue! also on our last night we was woken up at 3am by noisy guests shouting in the hallway (they must’ve been on a night out). But you do get earplugs included and that wasn’t the hotels fault.
Thank you for the amazing stay! I would highly recommend and stay again.

Liked especially the extra warm bathroom floor heating in the bathroom and part of shower. Price was great for two nights. I’d recommend the breakfast, nothing around the hotel is open in the morning
Getting there’s currently difficult as canal bridge closed, town Center leaves much to be desired

first of all I want to say that the loft room is amazing. Beautiful interior with a nice bathroom and a big round bath with built-in atmospheric lighting. Everything was nice in the room. But the hotel was very noisy, we've heard in the middle of the night other visitors screaming and we waked up with the telephones ringing from the reception. The hostesses were also a bit unprofessional for a boutique hotel. But all in all it is a beautiful luxurious room with a nice location. And they have nice options for food in connection with the covid-19 lockdown.

Although we booked a room for 2 adults and a 3 year old, we found only a double bed in the room at our arrival. We asked for an extra bed for the child and they told us they didn't have any, since room occupancy is 2 ppl max (written nowhere at the moment of reservation). Solution: my daughter had to sleep on the couch.
Bathroom sink was completely clogged, we asked to have it repaired but no one came to fix it during our 3 days stay.
The room was very noisy, during the night due to the bars and pubs just below the hotel windows, and during the day due to the loud volume of reception's phone (which nobody was ever answering to).
In the end, accessing the hotel is very uncomfrotable if you are in a wheelchair or travelling with more than a trolley: hotel & reception are on the first floor and there is NO elevator.

Booked the hotel specifically for the bath tub which was the best thing about this hotel. It was big, warm and I liked the special effects (lighting and bubbles) I also liked that you got robes. The area itself is also really nice, Zaandam is a nice little village with direct links to central so perfect if you want to stay out of the centre. The hotel itself really let me down, the noise been the biggest issue. I had read this on prior reviews and took some earplugs in case but these did nothing. The hotel is situated above bars/ clubs which are open until 2am and some 5am on the weekend. The music and bass was blasting and we got no sleep at all. On top of this one of the windows would not close properly so the noise was even worse. If you want to sleep and be rested avoid this hotel. We were also disappointed as we couldn’t connect the tv to WiFi and therefore could not stream as directed on the manual. We did call reception to report but no one ever got back to us. There was a few English channels however I would have liked if someone got back to us as they said they would. Whilst the bath tub was nice I would not stay here again due to the level of noise. I feel this should be made known when booking as I’ve had 3 nights of no sleep which has put a downer on my trip.

I travel in NL for years and I've never been welcomed like that in any hotel. Just go somewhere else, even the back of your car will be better. Expensive and mendacious, you won't get what you paid for.

Hello Helmut,
I'm so sorry about this late answer. You probably don't need the awnser anymore, but there are no rooms with a passage door. The doors are very close to each other though.
We do not have our own parkingspace, but you can park in the neighbourhood for free! Near the Prins Hendrikkade or at the Burcht, but parking there costs a few euro's a day.
Kind regards,
Manzo's Suites
