The hotel location was really practical as only 2 stops needed to reach amsterdam central,room was every day recleaned ,modern design and helpful staff. Especially Diana and two blonde receptionists were all the time with a smile and could assist us in every problem we could face. Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed 5 nights from December 7-12 in a junior suite room with breakfast by booking directly on the hotel's website, everything went well and was pleasant including the room, breakfast, location, unfortunately it was ruined on check out day. The female staff on duty at that time insisted that I have to pay for the breakfast buffet, the reason was that I only booked a room with breakfast to go, not a breakfast buffet. I entered the hotel website and showed him that there was no breakfast to go or breakfast buffet option, there was only a room with breakfast option (add 15 Euro per person), that's what I chose and it was listed on my booking. This is not the first time I have stayed at a hotel, I have stayed hundreds of times at five-star hotels with breakfast facilities, I have never heard of a breakfast to go option. Finally he said okay for this time. I feel humiliated because your staff's voice is high and as if I want breakfast without paying. I was tired that day and too lazy to argue. Is this really your hotel service? Please don't be because of something like this that can tarnish the reputation of your hotel.

This is a new hotel in Zaandam, a few kilometres outside of Amsterdam. There is apparently a convenient train to get to the city, but we found it convenient enough to stay here and drive to a Park-and-Ride.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Convenient location within Zaandam, and to visit Zaanse Schans.
(While the hotel has overnight parking at €10, street parking may work alternatively for overnight and a couple of hours in the morning - at ~€2 / hour between 9 am and 6 pm).

I stayed here for 5 nights just last week, and I found the front desk staff and the house-keeping staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is the best situated hotel in Zaandam and by far, the best priced hotel for what you get. They serve a breakfast, but I did not have that, so I cannot comment on that. Parking is very easy and plentiful (relatively rare in NL), and the hotel rooms come with a refrigerator (which was the biggest selling point to me). There's a Deen supermarket about 50 meters across the parking area, so you have everything you reasonably need. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed as a couple for a visit in December. Very clean hotel, reception staff very polite and friendly. Our room was in the newer area of the hotel, room modern and clean, the door of our room would bang ( must have been a draft? Or an issue with the door) but this meant every night of our stay we had to rest something against the door to prevent from happening. Maid service very good with daily cleaning - we liked the electronic do not disturb buttons. We did see other people being shown their room in the newer area, and we was not shown and was lost for about 10 minutes- so I feel you should show everyone where the newer area is - if their room is there. The bed mattress was also not very comfortable and very thin. Breakfast very nice/ good value, but the staff not attentive in clearing plates, appear to be standing around and chatting to eachother: each morning of our stay at breakfast we had plates on our table for a long time with staff walking past looking. Did not eat for dinner so cannot comment. Do not recommend the gvb travel ticket as does not work at zaandam station. We made this mistake, and it is not worth it as you would still have to buy a train ticket to and from zaandam. Overall good value hotel for a short stay. Be aware of the tourist fee, we was unaware and charged 40+ euros for a 3 night stay.

Amazing stay!!! We stayed for 3 nights in December and we had a fantastic time. Reception staff are really friendly, and it is a pretty reception area. Rooms are ultra modern, with very comfy beds and pillows! Nice modern bathroom with complimentary mini toiletries and lots of plug sockets in the room, even comes with a UK plug on the wall. (We stayed in the comfort twin room). Room was cleaned wonderfully every morning with toiletries restocked. Also a coffee machine in the room.
Supermarket opposite the hotel which is handy and it is a 2 minute walk to the station, where a train to Amsterdam central is a about 12 minutes and doesn’t cost much at all.
Also as in most European cities you have to pay city tax, which came to €42.00 for 2 people for 3 nights.
We didn’t eat at this hotel so cannot comment on the breakfast or food.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again when we come to Amsterdam, wonderful, can’t recommend enough!!!

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) enjoyed a midweek break at Zaan hotel. The connections for the hotel are excellent - we took a half hour transfer from Schiphol but there are also direct trains. The station is less than 3 mins walk from the hotel. We stayed in an interconnecting room with breakfast - very clean and quiet with the exception of some occasional noise from other guests in the hallway. We took many day trips to Amsterdam which is 12 mins away by direct and frequent train. Dinner at the hotel was OK (just that) but staff were excellent. A gentleman who works there (hailing from Ethiopia) was super friendly and we enjoyed a very nice conversation with him. Zaandam itself is well appointed with plenty of shops and supermarkets a short walk away. Also plenty of eateries on the Dam square of Zaandam.. Altogether I would recommend and we would certainly visit the Zaan hotel again.

The hotel staff were so helpful giving us advice on how to get to places , train or bus times and anything else we needed . They were friendly and happy to help us. The bedroom was perfect with comfortable beds and pillows so much so we had a good nights sleep every night we were there. Towels were changed everyday if you wanted and there was tea (only fruit but I brought my own English tea) and coffee in the room as well as a fridge . The bedroom was cleaned everyday . The breakfast was excellent in choice from continental ( cheese and meat) to a cooked one of bacon, sausages etc. cereal and pancakes. There was plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. The train and bus station are 2 minutes away. and there are regular trains into Amsterdam Central and other places in the Netherlands. This was our first holiday after the pandemic and we were a bit apprehensive but this hotel made our holiday so easy and enjoyable. I recommend this hotel because it is out of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam but at the same time only 10 minutes on the train into the city. Zaandam shops and cafes are along a pleasant walk by a canal , with plenty of places to sit and relax .
