A nice hotel, in the middle of the centre of Volendam.
Perfect location to experience this little fishermans village.
The rooms where clean and fine for just one night, however, the noise from outside and inside the hotel is terrible. So if you book this hotel to get some rest, dont. If you book the hotel because of the great location, the nice staff and the clean room its a good choice. The rooms are above the restaurant, the vieuw is very nice, staff is also very friendly.

Very nice place and weather I enjoyed my cup of coffee at the coffee shop with my parent during August 2018, you can find a lot of coffee shops there..

BTW you need to take care about the birds which can steal your biscuit 🍪 front of you while you're drinking your coffee 😅

I stopped in for a drink on Sunday 18th and it ended up being many the staff were brilliant, helpful and very friendly. Also the next day I went in for coffee and Audrey was very nice and let me keep my small, but heavy bag there for a while, while I went for a wander. This was greatly appreciated.

Situated right on the promenade so one can easily enjoy a drink or meal and watch people going by or the boats sailing. We just had something to drink and our waitress was very friendly and our drinks arrived promptly. The food we saw being served looked good. Definitely worth a visit

We had a short stay at a hotel van den Hogen. The room is clean and small enough for two. One bad was terrible. The view was on the seaside. The village is nice and calm. In the evening was a crowd in the restaurants. If you are bad sleep you need to take ear plugs for good sleeping. The breakfast is nothing special but enough food until lunch. Defianly not recommended to families. The personal was friendly. Nice short staying in fairytale village Volendam.

We were on a cycling trip around Holland and booked this hotel for 2 nights. We were not disappointed. Right on the promenade. Our check in was very straightforward and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. The man in charge helped us take our bags to our room and explained where everything was and times of breakfast. He gave us time to settle in, then showed us the storage room where we could securely park our bikes during our stay. Our room was lovely and clean, bed was comfy and we had a nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Volendam is a very touristy area. We had a fabulous view of the marina and lake from our room. There was also a mossie screen on the window so we could leave it open to get a breeze during the night. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was fantastic. It did get a bit noisy in our room late evening, but we just closed the window and that blocked the noise from the bar. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. It was only a 2 minute walk to get to the ferry for a trip to the island of Marken. Theres also a cheese factory on the tourist strip. We enjoyed our visit in Volendam and would recommend the hotel. Just be aware a lot of the restaurants stop serving food at 9pm. We usually eat late on holiday so had to change our eating habits for a couple of nights.

This is a Hotel that has a large dining area, which is open to beautiful views across to the waterway and surrounding area. Is Centrally located on the waterfront walkway. The service and food of excellent quality. Large selection of beer and wines available. I dined on the MUSSELS which I would recommend, and suggest it would feed two persons however my wife not liking Mussels, well, yes I ate them.

The room was not worth the price. Breakfast was so so...had to almost beg for milk, place was of course really loud on a Saturday night, Pub nearby, quite a walk from the parking lot. Bed was comfortable, Bathroom was clean. Staff were ok 😶 Not sure if I could recommend the place

The hotel just basic, the parking place is in outer area of this cute city, around 600 meters before the city. The nice part is the restaurant, we try the sandwich with fish and it was nice and in summer we can enjoy this menu in the terrace with the view of volendam harbour.

the hotel is not easy to be reach by a car, also keep in mind that the nearest free parking is about 500 meters.
the hotel rooms entrance is blocked by the restaurant tables (diners need to get up if an hotel visitor is need to get to the rooms stairs).
dont try to come with big luggage, because climbing the stairs is not easy at all
