The Urban Lodge Hotel boasts a commendable level of cleanliness, often celebrated by guests who appreciate sparkling rooms and fresh towels. Its proximity to transport links, particularly the train station, enhances its appeal for those looking to explore central Amsterdam. While the hotel's amenities, including efficient showers and in-room facilities, regularly receive compliments, opinions on value for money are polarized, with some guests highlighting affordable aspects, yet others point out unexpected costs and less satisfactory experiences. Room conditions vary, with cleanliness and comfort applauded, but some visitors have faced issues with pests and faulty amenities. The service is generally well-regarded, noted for friendly staff, though a few guests have encountered less than professional behavior.

Stayed here for a 4 nights break with my husband for his birthday.
Lovely cosy and clean hotel, staff very friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and beds made every day..Only a 5 min walk to train station and about 6mins to the centre on a train which travels pretty much all the time at different times on different platforms and cost just over 5 euros. If you want to see the cheese factory at Volendam and clogs at Zaan Schanse, just catch a bus to Volendam its 10 erous each (30mins ride)and a train to Zaan Schanes(for the clogs)is 6.20 euros each, much cheaper than the 59 euros each asked on the sites and tour adverts..This hotel is ideally located for a city break but without the busy busy hustle bussle...

Beautiful hotel inside! The lounge has a really chilled atmosphere, and as I read on previous reviews YES hot drinks free 24/7 including hot chocolate! :) amazing coffee machine!!

We ordered a pizza from a local app the reception staff told us about, and they had no problem with us eating it in the lounge around the fire 🔥

Our room was cleaned every single day of our stay, and fresh towels always were always provided.

Maybe some outdoor seating would be nice for smokers, other then that it was perfect.

TRAVEL-
19euros each for a travel card that doesn’t include trains but there’s a bus route that runs from slotodjk station 5 minutes away from the hotel, and It takes around 15 minutes to get to Amsterdam central.

Genetics Coffee shop 10minute walk from the hotel (Can’t smoke inside but very good prices!)

Overall very happy with our stay, thank you urban lodge.

We stayed here over February half term with a 5 & 2 year old. The train journey from the airport to Sloterdijk station cost us around €12 and was a easy 10 minute journey. The hotel was only a 4 minute walk away.
The hotel itself was lovely, very clean, well kept & well presented. Breakfast was amazing, so many things to choose from & the staff were very helpful. We had a connecting room which was perfect for us as a family. The rooms were clean & comfy & well presented.
Transport links into the city centre are very easy from this location, bus or tram journeys to either side of the city are 15 minutes max and the hotel staff were super helpful in showing us where to go & what to do.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for my sons 21st birthday.
I had emailed ahead and asked if there was anything they could do as it was for a 21st and I was pleasantly surprised they said yes of course, we will put balloons and chocolates in the room etc. Unfortunately we were a little underwhelmed with the 2 small balloons and the tube of chocolates which sadly tastes awful.
It was still nice that they made the effort.
The hotel itself was very nice, very relaxed and love the real open fire.
The receptionists were lovely and really helpful and gave us some good advice on where to go etc.
There is FREE unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby/restaurant area which is a nice touch.
The rooms were nice and had a lovely shower. There's a hair dryer, shower gel, towels etc all there and a good sized bathroom.
Unfortunately when we were moving the bed over slightly, we found some rubbish under the bed, as well as a lot of dust and another TV remote control! Obviously the maid couldn't find the remote control so just replaced it, (as there were now 2).If she'd of cleaned under the bed, she would've found it.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the transport hub where you can get the train and tram etc. There's also a good spar shop next to the station which has a good variety of everything you'd need.
The other downside is there's a new build going up and they're piling at the moment which is very noisy. You can hear it inside your room even with the window closed. This is obviously not the hotels fault but some travellers might want to know about it if they're just staying here to relax.

Me and my friends travelled to Amsterdam from UK and Hungary to celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time, the hotel is extremely stylish and the staff was always helpful and kind. The hotel is very well located, close to the train station, that easily gets you to Central Amsterdam or to the airport.
We booked a 4 bed family room, which were essentially 4 twin beds pushed together in pairs, making 2 queen beds. This is not exactly how the photos looked, there wasn't much room to get by inside. The room was also pretty dark, the lights only provided us with mood lighting.
On the other hand, the communal rooms were very spacious and comfortable, we spent most of our times there, so the size of the room wasn't much of an issue after all - especially for the very good value we made our booking for.
All in all, it was a great experience and I would happily return to Urban Lodge Hotel and recommend it to everyone else as well, for either leisure or business!

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were accomodating and very friendly. The room was clean and well decorated with comfortable chairs to sit and work/read in. The lobby was quite lovely too, very spacious and inviting, a lovely place to enjoy the complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate on offer downstairs.
A little out of the city but only a short walk to the Sloterdijk tram/train station.
We had a comfortable large bed and the rooms are fitted with black out curtains, perfect for added warmth and nice sleep-ins on a wintery day.
The hotel was mostly quiet for the week, with only a few noisy times when larger groups would congregate in the lobby for check in or out.
We will be back for our next trip to Amsterdam!

The Urban Lodge is very nice and well placed but the service is not up to a 4 stars standard.
The fridge was leaking in the first room I had which is why they switched our room and then the fridge was not working in the second room. They did not offer water or anything, there was dust and empty juice bottles from the previous clients under the beds, they didn’t tidy up the room or change the towels between 2 nights even thought we specifically asked for it.
It’s unacceptable to have these types of issues in this kind of hotel

The room was very good. Bed was comfortable except for the pillows which was too big. We asked for 2 cots for our 2 year old twins. The room could appear to be small but it was perfect for us being on holidays. Breakfast was basic but fine. The staff was also great and very helpful.

Room cleaning could be slightly improved. The towels were changed, bathroom cleaned and bed was done but it appears that no vacuum cleaner was used.

Also parking around the hotel is a bit expensive during weekdays (weekend it's free). So I'll suggest to use the hotel parking.

This is a very cute hotel 3 - 5 minutes walking distance from sloterdijk station. The location is strategic as we took the train from schiphol airport directly to the station, it’s very easy to reach city center by bus, also flixbus stop is at the same station from which we took the bus to belgium. The hotel itself is very clean with a cozy atmosphere and stylish room, the breakfast was nice and the neighborhood itself was calm. It was an overall positive experience for our first visit to amsterdam. I’d definitely come back again.

The hotel were comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly helping us to get the right public transportation tickets and also guided us to the right bus (to the center) which left about 100 meters away from the hotel (bus also left about every 10 minutes). One thing which me and my partner still think back is the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. breakfast was also delicious and the price of the hotel+breakfast was very "efficient" :).

Hi I'm pretty sure it's midnight but if you send them a message via their website they are good at replying. But I think you will be OK if you go to the hotel straight from the airport. Its only a 2 minute walk from Sloterdijk Station to the hotel too :) enjoy your stay

Train straight to Sloterdijk train station :) There's a ticket counter at Schiphol airport for tickets. It's only a 4 minute walk from sloterdijk to urban lodge hotel and 1 stop to central. Really easy commute
