The best thing about this hostel was its location. It's literally right in the central area of Amsterdam, only a few minutes walk from Centraal station. Aside from that, the women's only room on the 5th floor which I stayed in was decent for the price. My bed was comfortable and as someone just looking for a place to sleep...

I guess if every other hostel in the city is booked and you can't find anywhere else to stay I would stay here. Very dirty and the staff was just okay.. I wouldn't plan on going back here, no common rooms at all just your bed.. and in uncomfortable one at that.

We used the double private room with ensuite. The room is up 5 flights of rather steep stairs so you may wish to pack light. The room itself is large, the bed comfortable. However, there aren't any lights in the ceiling just two rather dim lamps, also no mirrors in the bedroom - which makes getting ready a little tricky....

When I first arrived here I literally freaked out and run away and came back drunk just because it was the only way to bear this place. My best friend and I booked two beds in the twenty bed dorm and the smell of feet was so horrible. There are no windows, the only way to let the room breathe...

Great location- really close to central station. Our room was 12 bed female and was so great and comfy. The beds are so comfortable- had a great night sleep every night. Very spacious with little kitchenette and table and chairs. Very clean. Not a great shower. Detached from actual hostel but gives it a homely feel.

We had the double room at the top of the building which had a cool view, was clean and had masses of space. The location was perfect - so close to the main station and all the trams etc and easy walking distances to all the main attractions. Despite this, parts of the room were falling apart and there was...

Upon arrival the hostel was decent, although our room was on the top (fifth) floor and there was no lift. Nevertheless, despite have paid for a 10 bed female dorm, not only did we have 11 females in our room (1 on a camper bed) but an older man seemed to have a room which could only be entered or...

I liked how this hostel was smaller than many I have been to. They kept the place really clean, including the rooms. It is an AMAZING location. One downside is that it didn't really have a kitchen if you were staying in the general mixed large dorms. It only had a microwave and mini fridge available.

Though the location's nice in the centre of the city, the staff were dismissive, rude and generally unhelpful. They acted like they just wanted to be left alone. Also, bathrooms were incredibly cramped.

I stayed for 3 nights in the mixed dorm. The hostel has some rules which is good. There are times for in and out. No smoking inside. You get a locker with deposit. The toilets and shower are clean. The beds and pillows are not comfortable, of course you're staying at a hostel. But if your plan is to walk...

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. “If you're staying In the 20 dorm room closer to the street side, try and get a bottom bunk in the corner. It gets pretty light in the room early morning, and it can get a bit noisy from the street.”
