We had a reservation in may 2020, almost 600 euros. Due to covid 19 disruption they closed the hostel. They told us that we can have cash back, after that they changed our dates and so on. Plane company refunded us but they are the hostel is too greedy.we cancelled and thats it.
I stayed there for one night with my two friends. The room was so cold and smelly. Kitchen staff was rude to us. They tried to force us paying a sandwich which we didn’t eat nor take with us. They asked to leave if we are not going to pay for sandwiches. 5 euro was they were trying to take from each of us. Before they kicking us out of hostel, the manager asked me where i am from, how racist it is.
At first, i was really enjoying the stay since it is cozy and find it kinda cool place. But then the day after i had bites everywhere, which i realised only after check out. BED BUGS!!!! Had to throw my suitcase and dry clean all my stuff in another hotel. The worst was that it was my first stay during my holidays in the Netherlands. However my friend did not get anything. I believe only some beds have got bugs. Some staffs at the reception were quite rude too in general. But the kitchen staff was very kind and helpful during breakfast. Its quite affordable also. If it were not for the bugs, i would have really love my stay there.
Never again.Last week I stayed in the Hostel and since then I am scratching my whole body.I am so disgusted by the Hostel and how they treated me.I send them an Email with no response and on the phone the same. They did not even apologize.Filty and disrespectful!
I went to WOW Hostel during a class trip. We chose the hostel, because it looked nice and wasn’t that expensive. Well, as we arrived it was kinda cool and artsy, but this is the only positive thing we can mention afterwards. The breakfast was a joke with a lot of plastic waste, we had hair in our beds and the bathroom was not only smelly, you also couldn’t turn off the light. The most horrible thing was the bed bugs. We all got plenty bites all over our body, which where still itching for a days after we left. All in all this place is just terrible! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone! If I could give zero points I would!
This was my first experience staying in a hostel and i have to say it was positive. I stayed In a female only dorm on the yellow floor. Cleanliness was off an acceptable standard. I had a shower , toilet and basin in the room which was nice as you didn't need to leave the room to use the communal bathroom's on the floor. I slept well as the beds where comfortable. Breakfast was basic but did the trick. The hostel is a little far from the centre. But travelling into the centre you get to see more of the city which I liked. I came across a lovely coffee shop selling beautiful food called Jamaican lounge , which I wouldn't of come across if I was staying in the centre. I would recommend staying here. Staff aren't the friendliest but you get what you pay for I suppose. You have to pay €5 for a towel so make sure you bring one. Lidl is a 2 minutes walk away which is handy as I forgot my toothbrush.…
The building is massive, seems like a hotel, the bed is really comfortable. Is a little bit far from city centre but is not a problem; This is the first hostel I’ve seen that doesn’t have Kitchen, they have a really small room with a fridge and a microwave, they don’t give a simple plate or cutlery; There is a staff who made my check and was working as a receptionist in my stay. He’s really rude, he doesn’t know how to talk to customers, he’s really impolite. I don’t know his name but is a guy who was wearing a no colour glasses and he has a goatee. I’ve never seen a rude person working in this kind of business in my life.
I spend a weekend here and I have to say that the rooms are big and clean, but the place is noisy specially in the mornings when people start going in and out their rooms. The breakfast is very basic and the staff attending the buffet is quite unfriendly. Overall this is a quite expensive place for the service provided.
The sleep quality in this place was poor. During the hot nights it was impossible to sleep as the room was so warm and there was no fan nor the windows could be opened very widely. It was also very noisy during the night. There is a square in front of the hostel where people were drunk shouting and cursing at other people in the building. I am not sure what happened but the police cars were there twice in the few days I spent in the hostel. The pantry and seating area were always dirty with flies around. Breakfast was simple but did the job, what was not nice was to hear the staff in the kitchen screaming at guests whenever a rule was not followed (i.e. you must use a disposable cup instead of a mug to drink juice). Sometimes it felt more like a strict boarding school then an accommodation we are paying for.…
Absolutely disgusting, there are bed bugs !! We were here for 3 nights, and the first morning, I had bite everywhere on my body, I found many bed bugs in the room. The breakfast wasn’t crazy (cereals, milk, bread). Briefly, don’t pay for that.
