I've spent a couple of days with a friend of mine. The apartment is very close to the central station. The room was clean and big enough for us. We had a small fridge, a coffee machine and a washing machine. The owner were very nice and helpful.

We was on the third floor (be warned, the stairs are steep). Katja was lovely and instantly provided us with a map of the area... More

I came here with a friend of mine and we stayed for 4 nights. The check-in was so-so. We arrived and rang at the bell indicated in the official address. No one answered but luckily a dutch neighbor told us to ring at a different number. This was not specified and we spent a couple of unpleasant minutes wondering whether... More

We stayed in one of these 'apartments' for 2 nights and paid 280 euros and I would warn anyone not to make the same mistake that we did. This accomodation is not an apartment, it's one room underneath the hosts apartment, which is made obvious as you can hear every word that they say through the wall. We arrived at... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

“Not sure about the other building, but the building we were in had lovely views of the neuiwe herenracht canal from one side. The top floor is strongly recommended if you liked a cosey roof conversion (Lots of space) but be warned, the last set of stairs are pretty steep :P”
