Imagine your favourite nephew is living in Amsterdam. Your nephew has a second beautyfully redecorated flat he doesn’t use. The flat is on the upper floor of an old Amsterdam town house in the charming De Pijp district with pubs, coffee bars and restaurants lining every street and on almost every corner. The biggest outdoor market in Amsterdam in Albert...

Great place to stay very welcoming host, happy to share stories & places to visit. Excellent breakfast worth the extra €. To get there jump on the tram from central station, very easy. In great location less touristy area.

A spacious and very functional room in a trendy neighborhood full of good restos and bars. Great host. Complimentary goodies in the fridge add up a very nice, albeit unfrequent, touch. Overall a hassle-free experience. Very recommendable except if you have issues with stairs, as the flat is in an old building. I would go back without hesitation.

This is a lovely, lovely place to stay in a great area. It is luxurious, spacious, sparkling with cleanliness, modern, comfortable - great value for money. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Jasper was so friendly and helpful to us - hospitality was over and above expectations. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I just returned home from our 2 week Europe Trip and ended our trip in Amsterdam for 3 nights at the B&B. This place was AWESOME! Yes, you do have to walk up a lot of tall narrow stairs but it is well worth it! Jasper was very very helpful and showed us the room, eating quarters...

There is only one negative and I'll get that out of the way. The four flights of extremely steep, narrow winding stairs is a first for us. Never seen anything like it so not a place to book if you can't do stairs and are fit. Outside of that, perfect. Wonderful host. Huge room with large extra kitchen, sitting area....

The pictures for the balcony room don't do it justice - it's so spacious, has a huge comfy bed, pleasant lightly options, small kitchen area with a stocked up fridge of beers and fizzy drinks, eggs, chocolates, all included. You are greeted with a bottle of wine and two glasses ready to get you into the holiday mood. The B&B...

We loved this B&B! The fridge was filled with nice little goodies, and cheese and wine waited for us when we got there 😊 We got the top room, which was spacious and clean, and had easy access to the roof terrace. We also had access to wifi, a computer and a printer (useful for printing tickets!). The host/owner (Jasper)...

When we got there we weren't sure how things would go but Jasper took care of everything we needed. The balcony room was a beautiful loft type room with kitchen and balcony. Comfortable big bed. Fridge was stocked with different drinks and cheese. Jasper gave us maps to get around and answered all questions. He was really friendly and helpful....

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
