My wife Kathy and I missed our flight connection in Amsterdam by one minute so had to overnight unexpectedly. This was on May 16, 2017 and most of the available hotels were priced at over $400. We found a cab driver who recommended this hotel right in town and the price was $160 eu so we grabbed it. The building...

The rooms are fine, small and basic. Good for just a place to sleep. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and open 24/7. Free wifi (not great though) too. Remember that it is a shared bathroom and there shower is downstairs. Location is fine as you can get trams to anywhere very easily.

Clean, nice staff, well-located (near public transport and a beautiful, pleasant park). I stayed with 3 other friends and we had nothing to complain about. A place to sleep and not to spend time in, but a good cheap option.

We took a nice walk through Oosterpark one day. There was a ton of green space and lots of people were out hanging out with family and friends. There was a huge and very different playgoround that was filled with lots of children having a wonderful time. This would be a great place to spend a number of hours just...

I was there the second time for my stay in AMS with my best friend. If you are going to AMS to make party and don't want to spend a lot of money for accomodations, you have to go to the Oosterpark. They will give you some good tipps and insiders in case of shopping, clubbing, sightseeing etc. I was...

Me and my friend began our interail trip in Amsterdam and were horrified at the hotel prices for such basic facilities. This hotel was a basic room with a private shower. The room was clean, if somewhat tatty but was fit for purpose as we spent very little time here. Staff were all very friendly. Was also easily accessible on...

Me and a friend stayed here on our interrailing trip. It's not a fancy hotel but compared to the previous hostels we'd stayed in, it was luxury. We got a private room for no extra price, including our own bathroom with shower. The room was clean and had duvets! (Our previous hostel didn't). The staff were friendly and relaxed, they...

Went to Amsterdam with the intention of spending as little money as possible on the hotel/hostel as I had very little but still really wanted to go. My partner and I stayed here, and it cost around 35 a night, which was cheaper than the hostels in the centre of Amsterdam. The walk to the centre of Amsterdam takes about...

We stayed for 3 nights. The owner was really nice and the hotel is well connected with the city centre. The negative points are unfortunately more than the good points. The first two nights the bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke, and we found one smoked cigarette under a bed. The shower was full of mold, the water and the toilet...

GOOD: Small, cleanish and VERY basic rooms. Helpful staff 24/7. Good quality mattresses. Hot chocolate machine available 24hrs. Bicycles to hire at accommodation. Near tram and bus station. BAD: Not central so you need to take tram or bus to get anywhere (not good if you traveling on a budget). No luxuries (only the bare minimum). Old building with dirty...
