Possibly the worst hotel we have stayed in. The location is used as an excuse for an overpriced poor product. 650 euros for 2 people for 3 nights might seem ok for the peak tulip weekend until you see your room. Budget hotels do not have to be bad but this one is. The staff try to be helpful but...

Hotel was good enough to spend one night in, purely due to location : 5 min walk from the central station and all other amenities, but loud at night but it is amsterdam and it was a weekend... room was clean enough, bed was comfortable and we were so happy with the location that we didn't mind having such a...

We stayed here for 2 nights last week. Great location, not even 5 min walk from central station, Dam Square & Red Light District. The room was very small and dirty, floor had not been cleaned, clumps of dust sat on the curtains and our bathroom was over the hall which was such an inconvenience, not to mention the fact...

Centrally located, this place isn't the ritz but doesn't claim to be either. It was perfect for us four friends, had our own bathroom and could walk everywhere and arrive in late. You won't be spending time in the room you are in the dam! Stairs was an issue but the rest was fine

I stayed here for 1 night as I had a long 13-hour layover at the airport. Pros: 24 hours reception, central location, cheap, comfy beds, decent showers, Wi-Fi Cons: The corridor from the street up the stairs to the main reception smells pretty dank, like a moist old weed like smell. Could definitely use some air freshener or just some...

The stairs are extremely cramped with no elevator. You literally have to wait for other guests to come off the stairs before you can start climbing. God knows how anyone manages with a suitcase. The bed had a wheel missing which was extremely unsafe, the staff didn't really seem concerned when I told them I fell off. Avoid this hotel...

I stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend and we were chuffed to bits when we found it online as it's location is 2 minutes walk from anywhere you would want to be in the centre of Amsterdam. The only downsides were that we had to walk up three flights of stairs with all of our bags to get...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
