Location is great - that's the main advantage. We arrived around 8pm - at this time the reception is closed. We paid with cash to some man running a nearby restaurant, without any bill of sale (we got it the next day) and he gave us a key. Room for 4 people (nr 25, last floor (3rd?), steep staircase, for...

Great location near the centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of most of the major sights. This place is basic, if Tesco supplied cheap saver hotel rooms this would be it. Don't bring the wife or girlfriend here, this is one for the lads only. The room itself is OK, clean enough, four beds crammed into one room. The TV...

Hotel was overbooked so they put us in a basement room which seemed like a spare room for their own use. There were holes in the walls, stains all over the ceiling, carpet ripped & torn all over, extremely noisey boiler that kept us awake at night. The beds were just matresses laid on the floor. The room was disgusting...

I've booked the "hotel" kind of last minute, without looking at the reviews. After I read some of them (one day before traveling) I was a bit scared as everyone was saying it's a total disaster ... However, I didn't find it so extremley bad, as some people are saying. We were a group of 4 students, and have been...

The hotel is in a nice place but it doesn't worth the price you pay! The room are very small and dirty. You wonder when was the last time they washed the sheets... It was written that we'll have a private bathroom but we finally had to share it with the room next door!! Just avoid it!!!

This hotel is in an excellent location, just up the road from the main tourist areas, that's about all that's good to say about it. It's not really a hotel, it's a kebab shop with a few rooms upstairs. We were told we'd get an on suite bathroom, what we got was a bathroom externally from the room, but assured...

Unfortunately, I booked this place quickly (without checking other reviews) on the premise of it having a pretty good location and not being very expensive. I wish I had read the other reviews because it was much worse than stated. Certainly the worst place I have ever stayed in, and I normally stay in very budget accommodation when not on...

Stayed in this hotel as part of a stag-do trip to Amsterdam so didn't really have high hopes for the standard of the cheap accommodation - and it's a good job because this hotel is dire. We booked the quad room for Friday and Saturday night (£230) for four of us only to discover 2 singles and 1 double bed...

This 'hotel' is an absolute hole. The room was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen! Had not been cleaned for a very long time, lights did not work, crap all over the walls, wouldn't suprise me if there were rats and other bugs in the room. Staff very unfriendly and intimidating! Seedy and disgusting!

Now I understand that sometimes you get what you pay for. But for our 35 Euros each per night we did not expect this. Having turned up at about 10pm we put our bags into our slightly smelly rooms, accepted that it was a bit naff, ignored the fact that we would have to share double beds, and headed straight...
