Leidsplain location is the best in Amsterdam IMHO. That's the main pros of this place. Rooms are not fancy but very quiet. That's the con. Breakfasts are fine if you choose not to eat in one of the cafes nearby. Rooms view to the river is nice or to the rooftops. Good service - fast and kind. Great value for... More

In short... it's a pig sty but I do also have some good things to say about the place, but we'll come to those a little bit later on. Upon checking in we were given a room on the 4th floor which I believe to be the very top floor, it has a lift so not an issue with me.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel is in a nice location by the canal with bars and restaurants close by. It's about 25 minutes walk to the centre and red light district etc. There is a Tram you can take which is around €3. Staff are friendly, hotel is clean, soap and towels are provided and extra pillows and blankets... More

Despite the fact that Amsterdam is popular and people are looking for inexpensive lodgings, the Quentin Amsterdam deserves special mention. Be aware travellers that your in- house phone won't work, that the shower door is missing a panel, ,windows are cracked AND there is inconsistent warm , not hot, water. The staff will have "maintenance " check, but nothing happens.... More

Last may my best friend and I stayed at the Quentin for three days. We had the worst experience when we arrived. Firstly we booked a room to sleep 3 people, at check in we were told our room was only going to sleep two people. When we went to the room it was extremely small, the fans wouldn't turn... More

Could've done within air conditioning however as it was a bit warm and you couldnt really open the windows due to the noise (which wasn't a lot to be fair.) The beds were extremely comfortable and cosy.

Me and my partner came to this hotel and we were really apprehensive due to the reviews and panicking whether this would be for us as we booked on a quick one through last minute. However when we arrived, we couldn't believe how beautiful the scenery was and how pleasant the hotel staff were, it was perfect for a 2... More
