IBIS are known to be budget hotels so I was surprised when I saw the room. It was tastefully decorated and modern. A TV with european channels, nice clean towels etc. The entrance lobby is a bit basic but considering that the hotel is housed in old building converted to a hotel it was ok. The breakfast was adequate and...

I debated between this hotel and the ibis Amsterdam Centre location at the main train station. This one was significantly cheaper and in retrospect, well worth the #4 Tram ride for 10 minutes from Dam Square. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly allowing us to store luggage before check-in time on the day of arrival and letting us do the...

Hotel has good location , nice clean bed and good breakfast. Really value for money. The only thing during our stay is the voices around. As they assign our room right next to reception and the lift, can hear what people are saying at reception and people passing by for lift. Would have been perfect if the room is sound...

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are on the smaller side but sufficient and good value for the price you pay. Bathroom and bathroom both clean. Very easy access to Tram line 4 which goes to the centre and central station regularly. If you want a cheap and cheerful place to stay without the noise of being very...

This particular IBIS Styles hotel is located bit far from Amsterdam Central Station. They have another property right next to station. With 8.5 Euro daily pass one can reach easily by TRAM no 4 from Central Station. Its 25 Euro for Taxi. From Airport Taxi will cost apporx 45 Euro. Location is next to canal. Heinken Museum is walking distance...

Although I've stayed only one night, i can say that the receptionist welcomed me very friendly and informed about everything that I should know including the places to be seen on map. The room was very classy and elegant, and included everything you might need for staying.

The thing I like about this hotel most is its breakfast. Lots of items (with hot and cold choices) are available, and the staff at the restaurant were very nice. I also like the welcome voucher offered by this hotel (for gold/platinum members). Since there is not a bar at this ibis styles, I am able to use this voucher...

Stayed here for 3 nights for a short trip in a group of 3. Hotel is small and quite basic but the staff are lovely especially the one lady at breakfast who went through the effort of warming up croissants after over hearing us talking about only liking them warm. It is perfect if you're not after anything to flash...

Great hotel In the centre of Amsterdam, 15 minute walk or 5 minute cab to everywhere really, all the good bars and restaurants are close. Rooms are basic but good if just stopping for a weekend, handy that they have doubles, twins, triples and quadruples, especially in a big group. Staff are friendly and helpful. I think the transfer from...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
